Dread Painted Ones

Description
Britannia, a misty and occasionally inhospitable land that is the subject of grave superstition, and tales about people's innards being nailed to trees, she is reputed among the barbarians of nearby lands to be populated by elves and wizards.

Although not the feared Druids, these less mythical individuals are comparatively simple lunatics - known to take the heads of their vanquished foes and hang them in their houses, they go to war daubed with unnatural colour in an alien way the Roman legionary has probably never seen, intoxicated by their religion of eagerness for death (and possibly over-fermented cider and things that grow in the forest), they are well-fed on a diet of cereals and despite being largely unarmoured, they have come to kill - armed with "celtic" weapons as well-made as your own.

When these bizarre blue people run screaming at you out of the mists of a land that is the stuff of legends, out of tangled forests you can't move in, or even across a plain screaming "Have it you slags!", "Stitch this Jimmy!", "Awfully sorry about this!" and other traditional Brythonic war cries, it's only polite to be a little unnerved.

What this mod does:

Painted Ones, using this mod, are slightly re-balanced so that they are more like semi-naked lunatics with great zeal, possibly decent weaponry, and a predilection towards charging headlong whilst swinging long swords. As such, their charge is *devastating* to an army that receives charge out of formation and will mop up (and terrify) the caught-out unit very quickly.

On the other hand if opposing units can form up, brace and receive charge in an orderly fashion, bringing these berserk smurfs to a stand-still, the Painted Ones are as vulnerable as their charge was fierce - they Iack formation discipline, they lack short stabbing weapons, they lack armour, and if you have done your job right they lack room to move and swing those long swords.

So that's the mod. Use them wisely and carefully - actually scratch that, use them insanely, just take a lesson from Watling Street and don't slowly feed them into the Roman meat-grinder.

NOTE: The original change this mod made was added to the base game in a patch, so if you want the old behaviour, please just play the base game. This mod now expands on that, making the painted ones as they should be - devastating and frightening in charge and single combat, but highly vulnerable when bunched up against a wall of disciplined troops, resulting in almost horde-style combat gameplay.

You should made a mod that gives the sacre ability to all the fanatical warriors and the Arevaci Painted Warriors, like they should've been from the get go.
