Ruina Imperii Roman/Byzantine Scale and Chainmail Armor Quartermaster

Description
Ruina Imperii is an Imperial Legion armor and weapons overhaul inspired by late Roman and/or early Byzantine equipment from the 4th to 7th Centuries. These armors are meant to be reasonably lore friendly, realistic, and are based roughly on the historical record, however some creative liberties were taken. You can find Chainmail, scale armor, spears, javelins and more! All equipment is craftable and temperable, they can be found under multiple categories and are based on the materials used so you won't find them all right away at level 1. In the replacer version higher quality equipment with spawn based on the level so don't expect to see much of the high end gear in the wild right away at level 1 either. There are two versions: Quartermaster Edition (QE) and Blacksmith Edition (BE). QE reoutfits the Imperials in game with new weapons and armors, while BE adds the new gear in as standalone. This is the Quartermaster Edition. Now finally available on Steam Workshop! I have been having problems with the BSA files so if you experience issues please let me know! Known issues: Some textures may look glossy or disappear from time to time, no idea what causes this, but it's a temporary issue. Easiest fix that usually works is enter menu, unequip the item, exit menu, then reequip the item. Annoying, but again I don't know what's up with that.
Some minor unavoidable clipping.
Some NPCs may become invisible when using spears. No idea why.

Thinking of swapping to this mod. The mod I have goes back a way in Rome's history, whereas the late Roman/Byzantium period fits right in nicely. Looks good.

Excellent mod. I really like the look of the Late Roman military and I think this overhaul is a much better fit thematically for the Imperial soldiers of the Skyrim timeline as they serve a troubled empire beset by internal strife not so dissimilar to the turbulent last decades of the late Western Roman Empire. Very good work!
