Glass Shuttlepod

Flyer with an enclosed cabin mostly made out of angled glass panels, providing excellent visibility from the internal cockpit. Has plenty of storage, solar power and the life support facilities to go anywhere on the planet. No advanced parts required.

- Typical speed 71kph.

- 16 containers in the floor, with wireless item dispenser and both internal/external points to attach to a conveyor system (e.g. for remote mining).

- Uses 8 small airblades - no late-game parts so can be made with scavenged parts that provide Mk2 Plating and SC Electronics.

- Thermoregulator and Stasis Chamber for life support, both mounted on the back wall to save space (and for weight balancing).

- 14 Batteries, sufficient to run everything even when there is no solar power.

- 8 solar panels, 2 facing each direction so batteries can charge regardless of facing. The panel placement has a gap in the center to allow a minimally obstructed view during third person flight.

- Forward and Down lights for easy landing in darkness; separate switchboards for lights, airblades and mains to save power when not required.

- Plenty of space to add a small deuterium generator, food plants or production facilities as desired. (The airblades will only lift another 750kg of weight, but more can be placed while landed).

- Terminal for changing settings from the cockpit or sleep pod.

- Self-powered beacon for easy navigation back after landing.
