Description
This set provides you with the matching infrastructure for the vehicles of the Austrian narrow gauge railroads from the Austria Fever 760mm - vehicles set. This includes tracks as well as depots and stations based on real objects from Austria.



The current version of this set requires the modular tram station from EISFEUER as a basis for the station scripts.

Tracks

This set contains three different track types with 760mm gauge:
  • The wooden sleeper track is available for an unlimited period of time and uses catenary poles that were used during the electrification of the Mariazellerbahn in the early 20th century. The buffer stop is a simple trestle made of welded rail sections.
  • The concrete sleeper track is available from 1970. It uses more modern catenary masts as used by ÖBB for several decades. Here, too, the buffer stops are made of welded rail sections.
  • The Y sleeper track is available from 2010. In addition to the concrete poles, it uses a modern buffer stop with center buffer.

Depots
  • The locomotive shed with half-timbering is based on locomotive sheds from the Waldviertel region, such as those in Groß Gerungs or Litschau. It uses the wooden sleeper track and is available in the variants shown above - sometimes also only as an outbuilding without locomotive shed.
  • The roundhouse is based on the shed as it is located in Ober-Grafendorf at the Mariazellerbahn. In the game it is available from 1900 and offers several parameters to adjust the size of the shed and the number of free sidings.
  • The two-stand locomotive shed is modeled after the one in Krimml in Pinzgau. From 1970, it also allows the use of concrete sleeper tracks, and from 1980, it is available in an extended version with a wooden extension that can accommodate just one class 5090 railcar per stall in terms of length.
  • In St. Pölten at the Alpenbahnhof the large narrow gauge main workshop of the ÖBB was built. Until 2017, the three-stand locomotive depot was also located there, where the class 1099 electric locomotives were maintained. This depot is available in the game from 1940 and supports all three track types (depending on availability) and also offers the possibility to electrify the tracks.
  • As part of the conversion from locomotive-hauled trains to Himmelstreppe multiple units, the operations center at St. Pölten Alpenbahnhof was also rebuilt in 2018 to be compatible with the new requirements. In game, the 5-door building is sized to accommodate just about one of the future four-car H2O trains of the Zillertal Railway.
  • For individual purposes, there is also a buffer stop depot with a variable number of tracks.

Stations

The stations in the infrastructure package are based on the modular logic that EISFEUER has prepared for the Modular Tram Stations.
Therefore, the current version of this set requires EISFEUER's Modular Tram Stations as the basis for the station scripts.

The basis for the stations are the platform modules. In contrast to the vanilla modules, they have a length of only 15 meters. This allows the platforms to be better adapted to the confined space conditions of narrow-gauge railroads. Platforms are available as side platforms and also as island platforms on one or both sides. The platform elements are designed to fit between two normal parallel tracks. Currently, there are two sets with rather older platforms. More modern platforms are in preparation.
In the style of the buildings found along the Mariazellerbahn, among others, there are matching station buildings in several variations that can be placed at the side platforms. These can then also be adapted to the different eras with different sign modules (station names will be built in at some point).
Furthermore, there are various shelters and other static station buildings that can also be placed on the sides of the platforms. Again, more modern variants to match the more modern platforms will follow.

Next, the order of the MODs can affect whether they work or not. How about putting this MOD at the end? If that doesn't work, try putting it somewhere in the middle of the order.
Personally, I think this is the cause of the crashes. Remove some texture-related MODs. In my experience, if you put in a lot of textures, trees, flowers, and other things, it will crash.

Please let us know if you can use it successfully. I think if you see it, you'll just watch it. good fortune

I have over 700 MODs installed, but I tried setting this MOD to the last order to confirm, and it works properly.
I think you want to use this MOD, so the first thing to check is whether you have the prerequisite MOD installed.

recently I tried to activate this mod on a ne savegame only to realize that it causes the game to crash upon loading, but if I load up an old save from last year where I used the mod, it loads perfectly fine and works as it should...
please fix it, as I truly loved this mod!

Other thing I found is, that even with a train that's significantly shorter than the station, the game still says the loading speed is reduced. It looks like only the middle pieces of the platforms count as part of the station, and the end bits don't, so you have to either make the stations much longer than the trains you intend to run, or just live with the reduced loading speed

only tested this in sandbox mode so far, but everything seems to work just fine for the most part.

Only the stations cannot be electrified (if you build them without electrified track), and if you delete the station track in order to replace it with the electrified version, you cannot place the track where it needs to go between the platforms, so you end up having to delete the entire station just to replace the track. Also bulldozing the entire station in order to replace it, it's random whether the new station will snap into the track where the old station was, so then you have to delete a chunk of track on either side in order to get the station placed. That said, once the electrified station is in place, it works okay.
