Description
Brugalo, the keychain bandit! A weasel with complex gameplay and in-depth mechanics!


Brugalo mostly relies on his KEY, which grants him tons of buffs. Any player can walk into the key, giving them ownership and making them immune to his status effects. If Brugalo owns the key, he can apply CHAIN to his opponent with most attacks. CHAIN nullifies some of their future damage, and makes his whip attacks stronger. Stacking 10 chain will CHAIN DOWN an enemy, restricting them to a small area. If you own the KEY, Brugalo can also create a JAIL that will increase the CHAIN of his attacks.

Special Moves:

NSPECIAL:

Moves the key to its current owner. You can grab it while it travels! This move has super armor on even frames.

FSPECIAL:

Throws a ball that travels like a boomerang. It increasingly deals more damage each time it hits, but will be destroyed if you get hit. Catching it will cancel your current attack and give you a bit of momentum. The angle it hits at is the same as the direction it is currently travelling. Owning the key will make this move not go into pratfall.

USPECIAL:

Creates a projectile that you can control the direction of. Hitting yourself with the projectile causes you to perform a moving attack (think Smash Lucas' Up Special). You can also hit the key if you own it! You travel in the direction you hold when the projectile hits you (not necessarily the direction of the projectile). USPECIAL's projectile will never apply CHAINED DOWN, and the final hit of the moving attack always removes CHAINED DOWN. If you catch FSPECIAL's ball (non-downwards) while preparing this move, you will get a huge burst of vertical momentum!

DSPECIAL:

Creates a JAIL platform that applies CHAIN to opponents standing in it over time, and causes most attacks to deal 1 extra CHAIN (strong attacks double CHAIN instead) if you are standing in it. The JAIL also prevents the KEY from moving through it, and allows your USPECIAL moving attack to occur twice if it is started in there. FAIR, BAIR, and FTILT will also give you a bit of momentum if you hit the JAIL with them. If a JAIL exists, opponents with CHAIN cannot steal the KEY. The platform will fall initially, then rise up if you are grounded, carrying CHAINED DOWN opponents upwards.

FAIR, BAIR, FTILT, FSTRONG, DATTACK:
Their knockback scales with the amount of CHAIN the opponent has. It doesn't change the hitstun, though, meaning they can gimp low-CHAIN players. They deal more CHAIN to nearby opponents, and more knockback at their tip.

UAIR:
Can grapple onto platforms, or be walljumped out of.

USTRONG:
You can move side-to-side while charging it.

JAB:
Will loop; you can press any direction to cancel into a tilt if you have hit an opponent.

CHAIN:
Subtracts 2% from the average hitbox of the next attack. If an enemy has too much CHAIN, they will not have hitboxes.

A few combos to get you started:
UTILT -> NAIR -> FAIR
DAIR -> NAIR
Landing NAIR-> DTILT
CHAINED DOWN -> rising JAIL -> start USPECIAL -> catch FSPECIAL -> USPECIAL moving attack
A good basic gameplan is to prioritize the KEY, abuse matchup knowledge, then get an edgeguard.
