Zoom Out Further

Description
Increases the maximum und minimum zoom level so you can see the whole map when zoomed out and tiny houses when zoomed in.

Mod-ID: 2587208992

Changes the checksum and thus disables achievements.

-----

Known Issues:
  • I'm sorry, but adding in zoom levels that let you zoom in closer than the vanilla values breaks a lot of things on the map in terms of rendering and color fading. To keep my mod stable and functioning without breaking a lot of other vanilla stuff and possibly other mods, I've decided to revert the v2.0 changes and disable zooming in closer for the foreseeable future.
However, you can still easily enable the closer zoom levels yourself if you don't mind things breaking:
    Navigate to \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\859580\2587208992\common\defines\graphics\00_zoom_out_further.txt
Below NCamera, you will find ### Stable zoom out values and ### Bugged zoom values. Comment out the four stable ZOOM_STEPS by adding a # in front and enable the bugged zoom values by deleting the four #del# at the bottom.

-----

Changelog:

Version 1.0: You can zoom out fruther.
Version 2.0: You can now also zoom in closer.
Version 2.1: Reverted the zooming in closer addition. Slightly increased the upper zoom limit.
Version 2.2: Adjusted the default camera position when creating a new game.

Due to a vast amount of map and rendering issues that were introduced by enabling closer zoom levels, I have decided to disable zooming in closer by default for the foreseeable future, as I wasn't able to find a sulution to the problems.
However, I haven't removed the addtion from the mod file. If you don't mind the described issues, you can enable the closer zoom values yourself by following the guide in the mod description.

Loving this mod so far, helps so much with immersion! I would love to see even further zooming in if possible though (gorgeous terrain and monument details are hidden in plain sight without this mod, couldn't have seen them!)

Hell yeah, this will be great for screenshots. Thank you!

Awesome, thanks Ramune! I'll check it out when I get home :D

@Erkli Pasha I've just updated the mod to do just that. I could enable it to zoom in even closer, but that would cause the camera to sometimes clip into the terrain in certain mountainous areas.

Can the opposite be done as well? Further zooming in? I would love to look at the details of the units and cities, wonders...
