Almost the simplest helicopter, electric-powered, intended for quick expeditions, inspections, or surveying. This is my first completed vehicle (finally!).

Cost: $5226

Top speed: about 25 m/s (90 km/h) horizontally with charge >80%.

Range: You can easily fly from Sawyer North to Beginner Island and back, using about 55% of the available charge. You can fly for just under 4 game-time hours without passengers.

- Battery depletion warning
- Emergency transponder

Batteries AND parachute included!

Instructions:

1. Start motor.
2. Enable auto-hover.
3. Carefully fly out of the hangar or train terminal.
4. Climb to a safe altitude and disable auto-hover.

About the battery depletion warning system: it makes 2 beeps at 50% flyable charge, then 4 beeps at 25% flyable charge. It beeps constantly when near the minimum flyable charge.

Flyable charge is 26% or more. Below that you fall out of the sky!

While flying forwards be sure to adjust your view so that you can keep the horizon in sight. It's easy to get disoriented and crash! There are no safety features beyond the basic gyro stabilization and a parachute!
