No Fresnel removes fresnel (the outer edge glow) from character and weapons using extender path overrides, resulting in a darker look and feel. No longer do character light up the darkness with strange glowing!

Script Extender Required
Norbyte's Divinity Script Extender[github.com] is required for this mod to work.

Mod Support
Most mods should be supported (like Majoras' mods), provided they're using the base materials located in Shared.pak. Mods that add their own materials with fresnel nodes will need support to be added manually (assuming we can get a copy of their editor files).

Currently supported mods (that have their own materials with fresnel):

I wonder if there's any chance of a similar mod for BG3? I absolutely loathe Fresnel glow in any game, but it's especially annoying in BG3.

Any chance for a non-extender version?

You likely already found the solution but you can rename the dll from the script extender temporaly, install Reshade (DX11) and then rename the Reshade dll to d3d11.dll before reverting the script extender file to dxgi.dll to use both.

okay I have an issue as Im using Reshade custom settings of my own, it already has file dxgi.dll in divinity folder, so its not compatible then? or is there another way I can make this work? maybe renaming script dxgi.dll to something else?

is there a mod that removes the annoying outline color around characters when its their turn??? its horrible looking, i dont need it. there needs to be a option in the menu to turn that stupid UI crap off, but there's not and i cant believe no one hasnt modded it out of existence yet

This is close to what I was looking for, however the weird hovering head light still exists. I also wanted to try my hand at making a mod to fix/rebalance the poison potions for undead characters and the five star diner talent but have no idea where to start, I know it's a weird thing to ask about that in a mod's comment section but could you point me in the right direction to get started on that?

How does this mod not have more users? This makes the game look so much better

If your game crashes after installing this mod, try moving it lower on the load order. That fixed it for me.
