[OLD] DemenDeus

Description
--- DemenDeus ---

This is a respawn ship designed for a team of 3 to 6 people. It can carry numerous fighters/mining ships. It was engineered to be playable online without glitches or maneuverability issues. The idea is as follows: when you die, you respawn in the HQ and take another fighter to rejoin the fight. If the hangar is compromised, you'll still have 2 small fighters ready to fight (or flee) in the living part of the ship. If your initial spawn point is destroyed, you'll have at least 3 others; the last one is in the living part of the ship (the hardest to breach). Then, if your hangar is compromised, if you've lost your HQ and if you're really in a dire situation, you can still find a secondary control seat and activate the engines to escape. It will take 35 seconds before you reach a speed of 104 m/s.

--- Technical Information ---

The blast shield is operated by a rotor. You can make it rotate permanently if you want, but you should know that:
Velocity > 2.5, and you won't be able to look around or move properly (quite useful for dealing with intruders). Velocity < 2.5, and you'll be fine.

To open the hangar door, you'll just need to push it with a ship. It will close automatically. To "lock" it, simply turn off the rotor. Note: when you're inside, push the red part of the door. When you're outside, push the blue part.

This ship can accelerate quite fast, but if you move while rotating it, all the fighters will glitch and behave unpredictably. So, use the "P" key to lock them all. Note: You can't assign 2 fighters to the same lock; it won't work.

You can't control the ship from the living room (rotating part). However, you can isolate this module from the rest of the ship by turning off the doors.

The ship has two refineries and two assemblers. Just enough to repair the ship and the fighters after a good fight.

The two engine rooms are not linked to any conveyor system. This is intentional; the objective is to prevent anyone from stealing all the uranium.

Every spawn room has a small nuclear reactor and a small storage to provide you with a gun and some scrap to repair the shields.

All of the doors are set in groups to help you contain any intrusions. Lock the doors separately for each module.

There are no turrets because I didn't have the patience to place them.

There is no paint for the same reason.

Just an old contraption...

It was meant as a respawn ship with hundreds of small fighters. But the triangle count might be too high for modern servers to ever use. Still... rotating rings are fun. :steamhappy:

It's a ship I built around a rotating artificial gravity ring. It's a contraption I build for fun.
The artificial gravity ring is meant to generate gravity by rotating, but I still had to add a few generators (very low gravity) to make the player character stand in the right direction.

It's super old. I don't even know if it still works with the current game.

is this a respawn ship or a blueprint
