Tales from Nihon Shinwa is a collection of skins specially designed for Counter Strike's Dreams and Nightmares event. Our concept is to take some famous tales and legends from "Nihon Shinwa" (日本神話 "Japanese mythology") and recreate a graphic universe representative of these various masterpieces on CS GO weapon skins.

Often associated with childhood, fairy tales are a source of imagination and spiritual escape. In there, we meet our first heroes and our first monsters. This is why we decided to combine these two themes: dreams and tales.

In this collection you will find different representations of popular protagonists in the Japanese mythology. We love their stories and the universe in which they take place.

"The two divinities then go to the bridge between heaven and earth, Ame-no-ukihashi and stir the sea below with the naginata. When drops of salt water fall from the point, they form the first island, Onogoro-shima. Izanagi and Izanami then go down from the celestial bridge and settle on the island."

This skin features Izanagi, a Japanese divinity, at the dawn of the creation of the world. He uses his celestial spear "天沼矛" to create the first lands.

Izanagi is one of the founding gods of Japan and the world according to the Kojiki and Nihon shoki, two collections dealing with the creation myth of the world.

In the beginning the earth was empty, like a jellyfish in the sea. A male divinity, Izanagi and a female divinity, Izanami were given the mission to provoke this chaos and create a world. But in order to do this, they had to create a land. They successfully did that with a spear called Amenonuhoko (天沼矛, the "Celestial Spear"), which they thrust into the ocean and waved in all directions. The drops that fell from the spear formed the Japanese islands, beginning with Onogoro (磤馭慮, "first land").
