Description
Introducing my "Primitive Turret" collection. Easy to build and fueled with wood so you can enjoy your primitive colony with some low tech automated turrets.

They are Vanilla like from apperance and you dont need any other fancy mods.
Easy to maintain and manage. Some wood from time to time does the trick.

Content so far:
  • Stone Turret is the most basic one low range and not so accurate but fires 3 shots at once. Low HP and costs the least.

  • Arrow Turret is the second tier medium range and has the damage as a colonist with a bow. Medium HP and build cost.

  • Pila Turret is the high end tier with a lot of range good damage and medium fire rate. Good HP and high build cost.

  • Monkey Catapult range like a mortar but you should have trained the monkeys better aiming skills. Eats your wood like there is no tomorrow. Monkeys need a place to live...

  • Ballista Turret deadly and good range but slow and fairly expensive to build.

  • Manure Trap the smell is horrible and its not safe to be around it but its somewhat of an IED - long fuse and a smaller explosion.

  • Firefoam Launcher(trap) Fairly expensive but could save your wooden homes

  • Manure Flame Trap its not safe to be around this light flammable thing but its somewhat of an fire IED - long fuse and a smaller explosion.

  • Triple Stone Turret supress your foes with a hail of sharp stones and an insane fire rate.
    accuracy is not the best but in close combat its the best you can get! Eats a lot of wood to repair a lot of bows that break at that speed.

  • Fire Turret with this magnificent thing you can now haul burning logs at your foes. Dont burn yourself with it ...

  • Stone Turret Versions are better in all statistics, non flammable and with a lot of hitpoints.

  • Trebuchet Turret Slow firing a massive rock chunk that does a lot of dmg. flight is also slow so its better for non moving targets.

  • Needle Turret In your darkest hours it will fill up your prison cells with ease. This toxic needle launcher gets the job done. Dont overdose them or you might spoil your meat...

  • Ranged Needle Turret Long range toxic needles for your future prisoners.

  • Monkey SpiritThe one and only god among monkeys deadly in all aspekts - even to you if you let your foes destroy the spirits holy pyramid. (This turret will explode with a 30 tile radius) Its the final boss of your base defence with a whole lot of hitpoints.
Since there is only a monkey hidden inside the turrets will not explode. But fire might not do so well on them.
It may be a good defensive little monkey but can you live with the guilt if he gets crushed by your enemies?

Turret balance should be fine, if you think not let me know.

Ps: no monkeys were harmed in the making of this mod, cant gurantee you there will be no harm in gameplay ^.^

I hate being this guy, but is it CE compatible? I doubt it cuz CE is more guns and this is for primitive runs but I'm trying to put together a medieval run using CE for the violence.

Perhaps an alternate version of Monkey Catapult, that catapults monkeys at your foes.

Well as far as the research goes, that has yet to come to pass as I work with "Research Reinvented" But it seems that Greatbow and Smithing were both required to make several of them. Its no worries though.

Some one somewhere reworked the tech tree and its now neolithic and animal is showing much earlier things. Smithing has been moved to Neolithic and so on. So not sure what is going on with which mod I am playing with.

My early concept for this mod is turrets that help you primitive only colony so in my thinking greatbow and smithing did not fit in this era. So i kept it in the Neolithic tech era with large research cost explained parts in the research finish text. "The raider you killed had a strange looking blueprint with him - Catapult Reseach Promt" so you dont progress lorewise to medival in this mod you just looked at a thing and tryed to rebuild it with stuff you have.

I looked into the refresh and I am not sure if you understood what I was mostly talking about. The amount of research isn't really the big issue. The problem extends that three of the required research for "Stone Turret, Triple Turret, Fire Turret, Catapult Turret, Monkey Spirit, and Trebuchet Turret" are all considered "Neolithic" research but they require "Greatbow, Smithing, Pila Turret, and Ballista Turret" which are all "Medieval" research, making it confusing as to why the prior mentioned turrets are Neolithic instead of being Medieval?

This was totally an Ingenious mod. Thank you for such creative talent. I love anything that helps make my Tribal starts more entertaining.
