(All non-DLC) Marks last for rounds, not turns

Description
This mod changes ALL of the marks in the game to last for actual rounds and not action turns by making them tick down in duration after every battle round instead of each action turn, making them a viable strategy against enemies with multiple turns and could actually cause some problems for your heroes in return.

This applies to all offensive marks on skills by heroes, all enemy marks aswell as all self-marks.
Note however that any ally or self marks (not Crusader's Bulwark of Faith or Leper's Withstand which lasts the entire battle) which are supposed to have additional effects to them, notably the Antiquarian's Protect Me, will have their buffs expire before the mark itself, so be careful.

The hero-only version and original can be found here. It is recommended that you only use one of these mods at a time and not the two together, as it would be redundant.

While there are only two more added marks that are actually used in the DLCs (Crimson Court, Shieldbreaker, Colour of Madness) I decided against including them for now as they are low priority.
Not compatible with mods that makes changes to any of the marking skill effects in the game.

Does not change mark duration on added hero/class or trinket mods unless they use any of the marking skill effects from the basegame.
Examples of mod heroes affected by this mod are the Seraph, the Commandant and the Exorcist.
Does not affect mod heroes like the Thorn or the Legion.

@Blimberry Juicy Best way to not run into any issues should be putting this above any mods that make changes to the default heroes, enemies or effects, so basically any rebalance/overhaul.

Is there a load order for this mod?

@ZatroolMG Turns out there are three skills with marking effects on them in all of the DLC, of which Crimson Court has all three of them. They are the "Enraging Slight" used by the Gatekeeper marking the target for 3 turns, the Courtesan's "Damsel In Distress" marking an ally for 2 turns, and the Fanatic uses "Brand the Tainted" to mark a target for 3 turns. None of these skills are changed by this mod. You can find them by searching for ".tag" in the crimson_court.effects file.

Hi ! Thank you very much for this mod, it is more than useful
Can you tell me precisely which marks are those : "two more added marks that are actually used in the DLCs", please ? I can't find them

This affects all of the vanilla heroes (and enemies) and some modded heroes (again, some modded enemies). It does not change any mod in particular, but rather the base game.

The way it works is skills have different effects defined by a file (.effects.darkest). I have modified the marking effects in this file from the base game, but not all mods use the marking effects from the base game for various reasons and instead have their own.

This is why mods such as the Thorn and the Legion won't be affected by this since their marks are personalised for their needs to function as they do.

Finding mods that work together with this mod will be a bit of trial and error on your end right now, as I would need to check every mod's effects to see if they use the vanilla effects or their own to get a list. There are hundreds of mods to go through, so... :stress: xD
Hope that clears it up, if not let me know and I'll try to explain better.
