Here he is again, except this time he has Ambient occlusion! No more transparent ogres!

I just fixed the AO.

Issue: transparency. fingernails and eyelashes don't look quite right but it's better than non-opaque fairytale creatures. $alphatest and $ambientocclusion don't seem to like each other.
