Radar mapping system

As of game version 1.2.30, the radar can no longer be used due to destructive specification changes (radar installed before the update can still be used).

This microcontroller controls the radar and sonar, calculates the location of the object spotted by the radar, and maps its position on the map. Based on the information obtained from the radar, it calculates the weight of the object and displays a symbol to show what the object is.

To use this microcontroller, you will need the following

• Radar (Radar Small, Radar Large, Sonar Small, or Sonar Large)
  
• GPS
  
• Compass sensor

To make it work correctly, please do the following

1. Connect "Radar target distance", "Radar signal strength", "Radar facing yaw", and "Radar signal FOV" of the microcontroller to the corresponding nodes of the radar. (The radar's "Evelation angle" is not used.)
   
2. Connect the microcontroller to the GPS and compass sensors at the correct nodes. (The compass sensor should also be oriented carefully.)
   
3. Connect the composite signal from the monitor to the microcontroller and the video signal from the microcontroller to the monitor.
   
4. Select the radar you want to use from the properties.
   
5. Select the orientation of the radar installation from the properties. (See below for details.)

• The outer circle shows the current radar range. The inner circle shows the position of 50% of the radar range. The inner circle shows the position of 50% of the radar range.
  
• You can zoom in and out the radar range with the "+" and "-" buttons on the right side of the screen. (Depending on the monitor you are using, you may not be able to zoom in to the maximum radar range.
  
• The red line indicates the direction of the vehicle.
  
• The green line indicates the direction in which the radar is currently detecting.

Radar type
Selects the type of radar. The value of this setting affects the zoom range. Select the one that corresponds to the radar sonar you want to use.

Minimum radar distance (m)
Set the minimum radar detection radius in meters. Once set, the minimum detection radius will be shown as a red circle on the map. Objects found below the minimum detection radius will be ignored.

Radar facing
Select the direction in which the radar will be installed.

• 「up」→Radar installed on top of the vehicle.
  
• 「down」→Radar installed on underside of vehicle

Incorrect settings will result in incorrect object positions.
