Texas Hold'em Poker [Scripted] - v0.7 - By Ink

Description
Partial Automation Intended
Base game is designed around 100 BB, 10,000 chip stacks using 50, 100, 500 and 1000 chip values. The mod focuses on ensuring that repetitive tasks during Texas Hold'em are automated away while keeping the cathartic essence of manually moving chips around. The following is a list of actions that are automated.

Blinds
  • Moving them each round and placing them per player
  • Dynamically adapts to changing player count
  • RNG initial placements
  • Some fallback if you do not have the exact chips required
  • Notification if a BB or SB is missed
  • No implementation for BB/SB bust scenarios, do as your house rules prefer
Pot Management
  • Collect all in-play chips for each betting round
  • Text to display your personal stack and current in-play bet amounts per player
  • Gather Chips button to collect chips in the green to the main pot if needed
Round Management
  • Sequenced buttons and functionality for the Flop/Turn/River/Deal/Reset actions (no double clicks, no wrong button clicks)
  • 'Claim Chips' button after winning a round collects all chips in the green to your personal stack
  • Fold UI button to fold your hand automatically without anyone seeing it
  • Sort button to sort your personal stack into pre-determined slots
Seating
  • Pick a colour to spawn 10,000 chips. Sitting at a colour will wipe any existing chips in that colour's personal stack
  • Leaving a colour (disconnects, changing colours...etc) leaves the current chip stack for safety
  • Move existing chip stacks outside of the colour stack zone before selecting a colour if you wish to keep the existing stack
Chip Converter
  • Convert any pile of varied chip types to a preferred chip type, while producing any remaining value into other chip denominations
  • Ex: Two 100 chips and one 50 chip => Click '50' button to convert into chips of 50 => You now have 250 in chip value in five 50 chips
  • Ex: A stack of chips equal to 750 in value => Click '1000' button to convert into chips of 1000 => The 750 stack will be re-denominated in terms of one 500, two 100's and one 50 (You can't make 1000 out of 750)
  • Toggle the visual image of the converter and the text by using the 'Toggle Chip Converter' button (text can also be toggled by the Toggle Button Text button)
  • 1 week release warning: Although tested, the converter may still have an undiscovered bug or two. Beware for this first week of release.
Blank Images fixed by the one-click Reload Images Button
  • On first load the button icons may be blank or white. After 1 second of Loading being completed, the buttons will reload and the images will be displayed correctly.
  • If a new person joins and can not see the button images press the Reload Images button to reload them.
  • This is better than having to load the mod again and deal with saves or other inconveniences.

Hopeful Future Updates
I update the mod on an irregular basis and as issues arise from playing the mod personally. I will fix the mod if any game breaking issues arise. The mod is tested but not rigorously. Mod versions below v1.0 are considered beta and any version updates should be given a week or two before committing to any high value action. Below are some ideas/features I would like to implement...at some point.

  • Provide means of the mod being fully automated while also permitting players to play manually in a seamless and simultaneous system (most of the fun is being able to manually move chips around...right?)
  • Multiple chip stacks in the personal stack zone and in the general pot zone so that there are less physic spasms and less intimidating towers. These stacks would auto distribute themselves by the Sort or Claim Chips buttons
  • Figure out how to remove physic spasms in general from chip and card interactions
  • Implement some functionality to the 'Call' and 'All-in' buttons...disregard that Bet button for now. Oh, and include a check button. However, none of this matters without a proper turn system...which then leads to a fully automated game.
  • Buy-in tracker, dynamically in real time update +winnings and other stats per player
  • Allow players to change the starting stack size, the BB and SB amounts without ruining some hardcoded laziness
  • Optional ante system
  • Custom card deck
  • Better button graphics, table aesthetics
  • Custom table model
  • Some better VR functionality
  • Clean up some of the ugly and bad lua scripts from a simpleton learning lua and the API (...but if it works...)

FAQ
  • Why those stylized buttons?
Mod was born out of an online friend group. The tackiness and symbols represent all of our social skills adequately.
  • Ocean background?
Highest detailed, free background I could find. I find new things in it at all the time. And the lightning is nice. And it is not a tacky casino background.
  • What is that face
Found it on page 26 of Google searching 'Creepy Faces' sometime in 2005ish. It is magnificent.
  • Found a bug?
Let me know about it in the comments. :]

Troubleshooting
  • No bugs/issues reported yet....

Great table, best one I've come across in my hour long search for a working scripted poker table.

seems to be the best of all the texas mods thx. Only problems are the call, bet and all in buttons don't work and are hiding the last para of text. Any idea what to do pls?

Create a TTS room. Load the workshop item from the TTS Workshop Menu. Everything should load after <2s, if not can press the Refresh button at the top middle of the board. Let me know if you figure it out!

You can also check out this Wiki page for more comprehensive instructions on how to play games in TTS:
