Northumbria Rail e57 Liveries 1980-2006

Northumbria Rail overhauled it's e57 EMU fleet in 1980 along with the new nrskyblue livery,
The Deria variant were repainted and the internals updated.
The Bernica variant was taken out of service, the lines were given to locomotives and carriages.
A new variant was introduced designated 'Rheged' The drivers cabin was refitted with a modernized version of the
Bernica's drivers console, the center window had a numberbox fitted. the free space in the cabin was used for a second console.
In 1984 an addition variant was added, designated 'Hen Ogled' this improvement on the Rheged featured
a driver's door on the front car for longer trains and emergancys.
