Aegis class cruiser (final)

The very final version of the Aegis class.



The Aegis class cruiser is a now decomissioned heavy cruiser design that served as a flagship escort, outpost defense and command ship during the early days of both the FT and the UGFI. Its large profile and diverse weaponry allowed it to adapt to new situations quickly, mitigate damage to allied vessels and provide supporting fire from any position, with the tradeoff of having a lower damage output than other heavy cruisers.

Regardless of this, the Aegis has partaken in many battles and has scored a decent number of kills.

However, it was officially decommissioned as the official heavy cruiser of the ugfi in favor of newer models like the experimental Aurelion class.
Though there are still reports of this cruiser being used during defense/escort missions from time to time, allegedly autorized by ugfi high command for "sentimental reasons"
