[WOTC] Squad Manager

Açıklama
Overview:
This mod aims to bring the squad functionality from LW2/LWOTC to vanilla WOTC. As of this moment, this is currently in BETA and things might get changed (enhanced?) in the future. For now, this is just a QoL improvement, allowing you to create and outfit squads and send them into missions. Unlike LW2/LWOTC, there are no tactical benefits associated with keeping soldiers assigned to the same squad, but in any case, feel free to use it for all your role-playing needs

Requirements:
WOTC expansion obviously
X2WOTCCommunityHighlander (any version)

Other notes:
  • While it may be installed in an ongoing campaign, I would highly recommend starting a new run. Otherwise, you may experience oddities such as not being able to assign soldiers currently on covert actions to any squads until they are back at the Avenger.
  • Based on my preliminary testing and helpful reporting by several others, it seems to be working well with Covert Infiltration. One issue currently being reported is that when deploying covert actions, the soldier/crew slots may be filled incorrectly. I am looking into a potential fix, but in the meantime, if you select another squad from the drop-down menu or manually empty the slots first, it should work properly afterwards.

Credits:
  • Pavonis Interactive for creating LW2 in the first place and extending the longevity of this wonderful game
  • Peter (LWOTC dev) who has been very patient and helpful with all my noob questions
  • The usual suspects over at the modder's discord (Iridar, robojumper, Xymanek, RustyDios and countless others) for indulging, inspiring and assisting me through this and countless other small mods that will probably never see the light of day

its not working with new mod launcher, a pity since i love this mod

options for squads does not appear for me either. i think its because the new mod launcher views it as not wotc compatible and thus disables it

any chance this could be updated to be compatible with new mod launcher? I'm on steam deck and really do not want to mess with aml

Is there a Mod that would allow me to send Multiple Squads to Different Guerilla Ops?

Because i think this Mod would fit so perfectly.

Probably some kind of conflict. Does it appear with just this mod and CHL?

it will be even better if we can add/delete soldiers to a squad in ready for battle page

Indirectly yes, but someone would need to adapt (swap) my "WC_qUick_FLO" mod's UI flagging function (UC code) with whatever Squad/Logo references.
These new custom assets would then be shown during load-outs.

Currently, these spots are mostly filled with flags and/or ID tags as shown here...

Note; I wouldn't have time to work on that fix.

Is there a way for me to see the squad icon for soldiers when I assign them to covert missions? Would be a huge QoL thing for me

This mod is a great campaign helper.

It helps me diversify the soldiers I bring out on missions and lets me train more recruits at a time plus it allows me to maximize combat bond effectiveness.

Grouping your soldiers like this can actually be a huge boon to your campaign if you can standardize your squads and know when to swap in a special unit.
