Description
This submarine represents the pinnacle of Nordenfelt Submarine Design, by far the most capable and advanced. With upgrades to propulsion, torpedoes, ballast control, and detailing I am proud to present to you the Nordenfelt VI Compact Diesel Electric Submarine.

Based of the regular compact Nordenfelt Hull, this submarine now features a diesel engine. This boat is designed to be a coastal raider and does not have the range for ocean hunting. It should be operated preferably by a two man crew to optimise ballast and engine efficiency.

The lethality of this submarine has been increased by adding an extra torpedo and a larger sonar. A larger targeting screen allows for increased awareness.

An automatic ballast system has been incorporated, that will account for torpedoes fired and fuel consumed. You will have to complete the fine control of the system when stationary.

This is by far my most complex submarine, so there will likely be bugs and issues, please comment them below as I look at all comments.

Full Features:

- Modular Engine
- Snorkel
- Engine Control System
- Automated Ballast Control System
- Radar
- Sonar
- Guided Torpedo
- Torpedo Targeting System
- Periscope
- Ship Data Log
- Crew Rest Area
- Electric Management System
- Red/Normal Lighting System
- And more, smaller features.

How to use:

1. Start the engine using the throttle and starter on the engine management board. Drop the generator clutch once started.

2. Move off using the throttle next to the pilot seat, it will act as a clutch for the engine and throttle for the E.Motor when you switch power source.

3. Activate the active ballast system to submerge. You may need to fine tune the ballast using the controls provided. Leave the system on as it will fill the tanks as appropriate when you use fuel/torpedoes.

4. To shoot a target, activate the torpedo management panel and select a target by pressing E over the red dot. Fire the torpedo using the button.

5. To maximise range, go into the engine room and increase the fuel/air mix. To increase maximum power but consume more fuel decrease the mix.

Update 1: Added range calculator and refuelling system, added fuel dump pump, increased total amount of ballast space available for used fuel and tweaked automated ballast system, added radio intercept system by K[E]RSM[A]IK. Added Seabed Scanner by Windows XP.

Added one to the front compartment only where the escape hatch is, running out of space in the main cabin and corridor!

Yay! One additional suggestion I might make would be to add a bilge pump (if you intend to update it again at some point). Definitely one of my favourite subs on the workshop!

Done!

I haven't added one yet so you aren't blind! I will look into a refuelling system. Thanks for the great comment!

Great great design, one of the best yet! Might I ask that you add the ability to refuel it, though (unless I'm blind and missed the refueling spot someplace)? :)

I saw that bug and I cant find the reason for it- it might be an interaction between two not merged parts of the ship but i cant see it.

Very nice! Though it does shake a little with the system to submerge
