The Cowbridge Branch

Description
This follows The branch line from Aberthaw in the south to the main line at Llantrisant. Grades are very harsh (as much as 1:45) north of Cowbridge, but the line levels out towards the south.
It is set in a 'what if scenario', where the line stayed open to passengers past the actual closing date of 1926 (Aberthaw) and 1954 (Cowbridge). Included is a simple timetable set in 1972 including a 108, 122, 117 and 37 performing various duties.

Track outline sourced from RailMapOnline.com and terrain heights from https://en-gb.topographic-map.com/maps/b9/England/. Detailed station maps and grades sourced from 'The Cowbridge Railway' a book by Colin Chapman. Track is based off of the 1919 layout, although I have altered the track where I see fit.

I will update this in the future when more editor options are added and to make more of the sidings functional for other timetables.
Requirements are only needed if you want to use the included timetable.

Thanks to the members of the Diesel Railcar Simulator Discord server, as I would never have been able to complete this without them.

Great route - Really enjoyed doing the bubble car service with those tiny halt stations - They catch you out!

Drove on Cowbridge yesterday, very nice route! Will drive some more of it today.
Cool to read how you made the route with the sources, very interesting.

Thank you for the route and I hope to see some more of you in the future.

Oh, that’s why I was pathed through there for no obvious reason!

Cowbridge Passing Loop is the double track section by the signal box. You can learn about railway tokens on this wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Token_(railway_signalling)

I think I remember what you are talking about. It is the area where it briefly becomes 2 tracks to allow trains to pass but has no station correct? I think the signal was green so I just rolled through thinking it was a way point not a booked stop. What is the token? haven't heard of that before.

Hey Armacham, glad you like the route :)
Could you tell me if you stopped at Cowbridge Passing Loop? It's a booked stop on all services to simulate the passing of a token.

Hey, very cool route. I just did 108 Up 02 though, and it said a stop was missed? Not sure how that happened. I drive with station markers on and didn't see any missed stops in the post run report. Any idea what it could be?

Lovely route, nice to see a (semi)prototypical line from a familiar area!
