Report a translation problem
Despite being in the same family and having vaguely similar front designs, the trains themselves actually have different dimensions. REM's cars are both shorter and narrower so they're not technically interchangeable, at least no more than any other similar modern metro-like mod on the workshop.
I see that you ended up making it yourself though and it looks really good! It's certainly a lot better than adapting this into a different consists! Welcome to the modding community!
This entire train can be reworked to a single type, with adjustable coupling and intermediary carraiges.
In sydney we have a single consist, but made of 6 carriages. There is no coupling.
You can use the base 2-train with options to add 0-4 intermediary carriages, then couple these together in the current up to three pairs.
This would then be ideal to use for Sydney metro too!
