Miss the old Jeanne d'Arc event chain from Sons of Abraham?

Well I did so I adapted it from CK2 and recreated it for CK3. This is supposed to be a small, light mod that adds a little flavour.

However to make Jeanne able to become marshal I had to override a vanilla file (00_councillor_triggers). The mod won't break if another mod changes this one, it just means Jeanne won't be able to become marshal.



Find yourself being aided by a religious peasant girl who claims to have been sent by God to aid your in your War.

The event chain triggers if you're an adult ruler of kingdom or above in a war and it's past the 9th century. It gets increasingly more likely as the years go on. More likely if you're French as well!

I added a decision for players to trigger it manually whenever if you're impatient (or to cover that I may have screwed up the code to trigger it).
The decision won't show up if you have the full gender equality or inversed gender equality game rules, also won't show up if your faith is gender equal or female dominated or she already spawned naturally.

Great mod, I really enjoyed it 🙌 I translated it into Spanish (in my own limited way 😅), mainly just to play it myself.

Does she only spawn if your toon is Christian? I just conquered most of France as a Viking and haven't converted yet.

@NEST-7 Umbrella Protocol: The event chain is triggered from a yearly pulse or a decision. Yearly pulse only starts after the year 1000, with it getting more likely from 1080, 1160, and 1250 onwards. There are no restrictions on culture, although the event chain is more likely to start naturally if you're French, which also has slightly different events.

It's also weighted towards making Jean "the Maid of Orleans" if Orleans is owned.

Any player that is a Christian king or above should be able to trigger the event naturally. The event won't trigger if you have the full or inverse gender equality game rules or faith doctrines. So no Cathar/Bogomiltist//Messalian/Adamite Jeanne d'Arcs.

The decision to trigger it manually won't show if she has already spawned. It has the same trigger conditions as the yearly pulse (minus the year), and it should tell you what you need to trigger the event chain anyway.

@GenuinelyEric Yeah. Can't help with that pregnancy stuff that's part of the base game. The only way to save her (that I know of) would be to use cheats/a mod to end the pregnancy, which would stop the event from firing.

unless you are re loading to before she was pregnant then it may already be decided. A lot of pregnancy stuff is chosen very early.
