Canyon Lake, TX USA

Description
Imported height map of actual location in Texas between San Antonio and Austin.

This requires 81 tiles to get started. You'll most likely need to use infinite money as well.

This map doesn't have anything other then the imported height map and the water nodes added to form the lake and trees. I not successfully implemented the dam waterway yet. I've tried using the in-game hydro dam but couldn't get it to work properly. I did try poking a hole through the dam wall to see if I could get the water to flow down and was semi-successful with that but not totally happy yet. If someone has ideas on how to get that to work or gets it to work and wants to share the save I'd love to see how you did it!

*NOTE: This is a rough draft of the map. The starter area will be changed and connecting highway will be added to it later.

DESCRIPTION OF AREA

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canyon_Lake_(Texas)

Canyon Lake is a reservoir on the Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill Country in the United States. Canyon Lake is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir formed on the Guadalupe River in Comal County by Canyon Dam, which is located about sixteen miles northwest of New Braunfels. The dam, lake, and all adjacent property are managed by the U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers. Water rights, waste water treatment, and hydroelectric generating facilities are managed by the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority. Construction of the dam began in 1958 and was completed in 1964. The reservoir serves to provide flood control and water supply for the communities downstream from the dam. The lake is also a popular recreational destination.

I like that you didn't load it down with 700+ custom assets.

I like New Braunfels. Schlitterbahn water park is awesome there and runs off of the Comal river which is fed by he Guadalupe river. We drove around a bit in New Braunfels when we visited last week and ate at a good BBQ place.

I recently went on vacation to this area and thought it would be fun to create a map for it in Cities Skylines. This area is meant to be recreational with some light commercial and residential how it exists today. I can see this area getting more popular within the next few decades for sure.
