Goblin Hordes

Description
Goblins have been represented in the Magic the Gathering card game since the start. They are so common among the Planes, that their absence is immediately noticed.
Now they arrived in Erannorth Reborn!

Be ready to play with these little rascals. Wave after wave, explosion after explosion, they will never stop until there's no more enemies around.

Winner of the 2021 Erannorth Reborn's 4th modding contest. Thank you for everyone that voted for Goblin Hordes!

This mod attempts to bring MtG goblins into Erannorth Reborn, the new cards are based on real MtG cards (although some are only loosely based, since it's impossible to reproduce many MtG mechanics in Erannorth Reborn.).

Goblins specialize on filling your ally spots quickly, with weak but cheap goblin power. They also have several Intense damage cards (that usually involve sacrificing goblins or allies in general). They possess some fire and earth magic too.

Goblins have the latest in technological power, they also have access to a new type of 2 handed weapons. The Siege Weapons, these large contraptions (catapults) will aid the goblins in causing fun destruction.

Now with cannons! Yes, you read that right. Cannons! And a Rocket Launcher too. The future seems bright (and loud, and destructive) for the goblins.

Relax in one of the several Hideouts available for goblin characters. Auntie's Hovel is always ready to receive a fellow goblin, if you're lucky you might even get your wounds tended and a free meal of delicious maggots. Or maybe you're feeling a little "feisty"? Then the Goblin Warrens are for you, it's fun to help your clan grow!
And there's still the nice Goblin Burrows and Goblin Caves too.
(Some more might be made in future updates)

Pray or party at the famous Goblin Shrine landmark, you can always ask our resident Soothsayer to predict your future.

Recruit allies to help you conquer this harsh new world, from the humble Goblin Balloon Brigades to Muxus, Goblin Grandee. From Embermage Goblins to Krark, the Thumbless. A large host of new allies is ready to lend you a hand. And sometimes even a thumb (literally, just ask Krark).
(There are many others planned to be included in future updates)

You can pick one of several Subspecies of goblins for your character. Subspecies are 0 cost perks that are available at the start of the game. They usually offer 2 Attribute bonuses, 1 penalty and an extra card, so choose wisely.
The Subspecies available are:
  • Akki
  • Boggart
  • Elemental Mutant
  • Hobgoblin Subspecies
  • Hulking Mutant
  • Kyren
  • Mogg
  • Oxidda
  • Razorfin

There's 2 houses for your Noble goblin to join, the Kyren Nobility and Krenko's Clan. How can you become a Noble Goblin? All you have to do is own "The War for Roverford" DLC, it's well worth the price, so get it if you haven't yet.
(Looking to see what other options for Noble houses I can make)

Look the part with 20 goblin-ish avatars for each gender.

Are you the one that will lead the goblins to victory? Will you be lucky enough to have 5 Fuse counters on the devastating Goblin Bomb before the battle ends?

Author's Notes:

I want to make more perks, equipment, items, actions, allies, etc. In future updates. This mod was made in 10 or so days. I have no idea what I'm doing most of the time (so expect bugs), and it's being released now so I can enter the cool modding contest that is in place.
I suck with balancing stuff, so suggestions and opinions are more than welcome, if you find any bugs, please tell me about them.

Special Thanks:
  • To this game's awesome Community that voted for for my mod in the 2021 Modding Contest. I only won thanks to your support!

  • Gurrflumfr. A nice and friendly modder that took time to answer some questions I had in the past.
  • All the artists that worked or work on MtG cards art. You make MtG look awesome.

  • Wizards of the Coast. For keeping MtG alive through all these years.
  • Richard Garfield. For creating MtG.
  • You. For reading this wall of text, I hope you have fun playing with the Goblin Hordes!

Fabulous Mod.

The Goblin allies are lots of fun to play and the card art is really nice.

I picked a Goblin Psychic as my first character and the Goblin cards really shined in this build.

While I personally don't enjoy random mechanics (in any game) too much, I still had a lot of fun with this, and I think it's a fantastic mod that took a lot into consideration and is thematically wholesome. Great job =)

Also, what a nostalgic trip down the memory lane to my MtG times :Amane:

Yes, it's supposed to require 5 Fuse resources.

I somehow managed to get rid of that part of the card code when I decided to change it's name and card picture before I released the mod. :steamfacepalm:

Thank you for spotting this and taking your time to make me know. :steamhappy: .

The fix will be in the next update, it should take a couple of days until I upload it, since I want to make some more content before I upload it. For now, enjoy the OP bugged Goblin Bomb.

Great mod!
Is there a reason to take the "Fuse Management" gambit card on Goblin Bomb? I'm not seeing a use for the Fuse resource. Was "3,2,1" intended to utilize Fuse as a resource to cast it?
