Yes finding a flat area is not easy, i usually have to scout for awhile to find a good spot.
Normally i have a hover miner and a drill before i'm ready to spawn this base and sometimes have to use the miner to make a flat spot.
I don't like doing that because it makes my land ugly so i try to dig out a spot that is a little smaller than the base footprint.
jrandall has some smaller base blueprints.
I have not spawned this into reforged, you could start a creative test world and try it to see what changes would need to be made.
I plan to test all of my blueprints in reforged but only after the new version of reforged is released.
Not sure what you mean about turrets, the defense towers in the screenshots are not part of the blueprint, they are separate blueprints and not designed for PVP where you need defense from directly above.
Adding turrets to the base blueprint would require expensive T3 CPU extensions and increase the player level required to spawn the base.
T3 could be done later once the required player level is reached and the resources are obtained.
Adding the turrets doesnt hit the stuff above them?
