I like your style. Excellent puzzle!

I actually figured out the last move fairly quickly! Made me feel smart ^^

Blindrun
Geez, my IQ must be lowering or something. Dunno why the first part took me as long as it did. (I knew I would have to place a portal beneath the cube at some point, and I initially figured the solution might have involved an angled laser that I could set up in advance via placing the cube in the mini room where the laser makes contact with the portal surface - and then while doing it realized that stupid me totally missed the part where that would allow me to get both the cube and the laser out and onto the first floor , which is a goal I had in mind early on in the puzzle. I think I made the logical mistake of thinking that “just because I'm in the mini room doesn’t mean that I’ll have access to the laser”. Stupid shit like that plagued my “middle years” of playing this game’s community test chambers 😅

But yeah, I had a sinking feeling that I wasn’t even at this chamber's "signature move" -- and indeed I wasn't. And honestly, I thought about the move about halfway from when I started the next part to when I actually finished it. I didn’t do it at the time because I felt that even though it was possible, it was kinda cheesy and probably an unreliable move, and two, I didn’t see how it would help me at the time. I only revisited it after thinking logically about what I needed to do and thinking backwards from the situation required to proceed (which, in my mind, was having the laser go straight through via a portal to the catcher that deactivates the fizzler blocking the mini room.

I was actually right this time, and the issue I find with thinking backwards sometimes is that, well, for one, it’s REALLY resource-intensive and tires you out VERY fast because it requires a LOT of thinking, so I usually resort to thinking of a situation in the puzzle that is required for me to move on to the next steps -- and sometimes that’s what I get wrong. :P)

After considering everything I figured that due to the very short drop and distance to the laser catcher that deactivates the big fizzler it was probably intended, and I dropped the cube properly on the first try via crouching while doing so -- if I was standing it prob wouldn't have worked.

Very, very well done though. As I said in one of Mevious’ new chambers - love how the community, even after almost a decade, kept innovating and discovering novel mechanics with just the base elements.

I am putting this in my, "I didn't think that would work" file.

I thought this was going a totally different way, and now I'm making that puzzle

Nice puzzle - I appreciate that the cube is easily respawnable for the unconventional move; the only reason it's usually disliked is because it can be inconsistent

Wow! This felt like one of the best laser puzzles ever - just in the golden middle between too complicated and too easy and unoriginal. Thumbs up and fav.!
