Geez, my IQ must be lowering or something. Dunno why the first part took me as long as it did. (I knew I would have to place a portal beneath the cube at some point, and I initially figured the solution might have involved an angled laser that I could set up in advance via placing the cube in the mini room where the laser makes contact with the portal surface - and then while doing it realized that stupid me totally missed the part where that would allow me to get both the cube and the laser out and onto the first floor , which is a goal I had in mind early on in the puzzle. I think I made the logical mistake of thinking that “just because I'm in the mini room doesn’t mean that I’ll have access to the laser”. Stupid shit like that plagued my “middle years” of playing this game’s community test chambers 😅
After considering everything I figured that due to the very short drop and distance to the laser catcher that deactivates the big fizzler it was probably intended, and I dropped the cube properly on the first try via crouching while doing so -- if I was standing it prob wouldn't have worked.
Very, very well done though. As I said in one of Mevious’ new chambers - love how the community, even after almost a decade, kept innovating and discovering novel mechanics with just the base elements.
