Description
The maximum power you can get out of a turbine in v1.2.2 is approximately 100 Watts (well, stormworks Watts). If you use flywheels and clutch slipping you can magnify this power into something that I consider to be much more balanced.

This 12-turbine subassembly will produce about 18000 watts.

This prefab setup can be used just like a normal turbine. Plug in steam in/out and watch the generator spin up. It takes a few minutes to reach maximum power.

There is a toggle button next to the number display which turns on "steam recirculation". Steam in stormworks v1.2.2 does not decay, it can be re-used forever. If you turn off this button (you can change it with the select tool on the workbench) the recirculation pumps will be disabled and you will have to deal with the steam circulation yourself, using condensers or whatever else.

Hook it up to a tank of steam if you want to quickly test it without a reactor/furnace/boiler:

Couple questions... howd you make the flywheel so big OvO and also, how should i translate this to torque to the props? Just place motors down or...?

In 1.3.6, I have let that think slowly crank up ... but it seems that it reached max power at around 1900 watt. I guess they changed the fly wheel effect at some point to avoid the creation of monster nuclear engines.

Is there any custom parts on this? I do not recognize the large pipe between the flywheels and the generator.

Thanks for this. Works great, got my ship skipping across the water at 700kmh forever now. instead of using 2000L diesel a second :D

good news thanks to the steam power buff this pushes out a whopping 24157 kW (tested with tank of steam)
