Description
Classic patrol mission, like in the Vietnam War movies.

This is a COOP mission for max 9 players, but less players also can enjoy it. Even SP can play.

Your regular day in Vietnam: patrol duty. Your squad is sent to patrol a trail and make contact with a Special Force team deep in Indian country.



Known issues:
* Tasks are in chaotic order, but it always shows you the current task. (I tried to use the Editor built in task module... Never again!)

I played with SOG AI as well. I had couple of other mods. The initial helicopter insertion did not work as the helicopter did not even start and using All in one command menu i was able to elevate myself as zeus but even if i started the engine pilot refused to go. So with some trickery i was able to get into the insertion point. Rest of the mission was pretty good.

I see a bardosy 'Nam mission, I download!

This one is pretty sweaty if you use a ton of AI mods like I do. I did notice the SOG team was already dead when I got to them... and I guess I had a conversation with their... ghosts? Likely LAMB's and Simple Camouflage conspired against them. That kind fun bug might be avoided by only spawning the SOG guys when the player gets close.

Lost half the team, but I was able to use All-In-One Command Menu to recruit some random other Marines I found. We pulled through in the end. Nice work :)

@Johnnyboy yea, and your mod also takes away the ability to switch between AII team mates so that's a hard pass for me. really don't know why people praise that mod so much, it doesn't do anything you can't already do with a simple zeus trainer..

I just replayed this SP using my SOG AI mod and it worked quite well. Instead of team respawn, SOG AI has AI revive each other and player, and commanding squad is way easier than vanilla AI. And it adds other surprises. I may have to go back and re-play all Bardosy's missions now.

@Jens5345 Really? Oh yeah, now I get it: I used the SOG patrol module what produce infinte VC if you not advance. I usually force advance (perhaps, because I knew those small attacking VC groups are infinite), so I never run out of ammo.
In the main parts of the mission there is no infinite enemy, so you can done the tasks (almost) easily.

Holy ... this mission is very hard .... i play solo and my whole squad is out of ammo from halfway through the mission. Yeah.... this is Vietnam xD

I want to add your boat script to this mission, but as a boat extraction to the end.

Also, you could add a boat patrol near that bridge that player has to cross. But I don't know if my boat waypoint script works in MP, so maybe not.

@Johnnyboy: Thanks for the feedback. Was it a grenade or an explosive? I think I did add explosives (I thought it was vietnam era explosive) to the chopper, because it needed during the mission. I will check it!
