Maple loses x2 sanity from the darkness and insanity auras. This, as you would probably imagine, makes managing sanity incredibly difficult. Thankfully, she has some tricks up her sleeve that make it a little more manageable.

Maple is able to craft 3 different types of tea. Her classic, iconic tea, a type of tea for medical purposes, and one final one that's a little... Special... We'll get a little more in detail on what these do later.

This is likely a surprise to no one. She likes to feel fancy! We all do once in a while, am I right? Anyway, what this perk means is that items that give sanity regain will give her an even stronger boost than normal. Now, this only applies to certain items that she likes, not every sanity regenerating piece of clothing suits her tastes. The way you can find out which items give her extra sanity is either by guessing and checking, or examining the right items will give hints as to which ones she likes. It's also not limited to items that increase your sanity.

If Maple is in high enough temperatures (60 degrees or higher) objects around her will begin to catch fire. Don't stand too close to your campfires!!

As I stated before, she can create 3 different types of tea. Their names are Maple's Tea, Medicinal Tea, and Nightmare Tea respectively.
Restores 45 sanity, 15 health, and 6.5 hunger.
It takes 1 marble, 2 petals, and 3 ice to craft. It's under the food tab.
Maple will also start with 3 of them when she spawns in.
Restores 40 health, 20 sanity, and 9 hunger.
It takes 1 marble, 1 foliage, and 1 honey to craft. It's under the food tab, and requires a science machine to prototype.
Restores 60 health, but takes away 25 hunger, and 300 sanity.
It takes 1 marble, 2 dark petals, and 4 nightmare fuel to craft. It's under the food tab, and requires a prestihatinator to prototype.

NOTE: Maple's teas never spoil. They can be stored in chests and stay there until the end of time, and still be perfectly fresh. It's not the most realistic thing, but it balances a difficult character.

Maple comes with completely exclusive dialogue! Not every item has a unique quote, mostly things added in recent updates, but the majority of things in the game have unique dialogue. I will likely update this character so that she does have up-to-date dialogue.
Maple's dialogue is based on my take of how she would react to things throughout the game, as well as references to the games and the anime here and there. If you think she would react differently, that's your opinion and that's fine.
Maple's voice is a guitar. Duh.
Maple's voice does not work with the carol emote. I will fix this in the future... Probably.
