There is a problem with area 9 which can really ruin the game for you!

The problem is that the increase in pioneer requirements per town leads to you easily breaking the number system of the game because the data type used for the money cannot handle numbers big enough to be able to finish the area without tricks. This leads to an error that can only be reset by resetting your entire progress.

You can circumvent this by using the following trick:
Click the reset button some time before reaching your target population. Once you hit the target population while having the reset window open, you can still reset.
After you reset, you spend as many pioneers as you can on upgrades, leaving you with less pioneers than you started the town with, if done correctly.
Afterwards, you can directly go west to the next town without playing the town again.

The next town's pioneers requirement is based on the number you ended the last town with when going west, so you don't need to worry about the game becoming harder by doing this workaround.

You should start with this trick right from the beginning and not just in the end because it can be hard reducing you pioneers if the upgrades' costs do not fit your pioneers.
A good formula to calculate the number of pioneers you should end each town with is pioneers=135^town number.

179.77 dt is the maximum the data type used for money in the game can handle.
If you exceed this number, the game breaks and only shows you an error!
The maximum of pioneers you should not exceed is about 1 bn.

I figured it would be nice to have a list of all the business upgrade bonuses for every area so I sat down and created my own since the ones I found on the internet were either incomplete or incorrect.
Mine is for the current version of the game (v1.15.5).

This guide is helpful because it is very useful to know which business will have a specfic bonus before unlocking the very last bonus before the one desired.
This list is just for area 9 and I will put the other lists for the other areas into separate guides so it will stay clearly structured und not become confusing.

For easy maneuvering through the guide I recommend using the structure displayed on the right.

If not specified differently the bonus is for the business you unlock it on.

The given percentage is the increase gained by the bonus, e.g. the bonus you get on level 3 at the Barber Shop is 100%, so it quintuples the profit of the business.

Time -XX% means that the bonus reduces the time per cycle by the given percentage.
