Star Wars Galaxy 2

Description
Stellaris: 3.11.*

Star Wars Galaxy 2 is an open-source project that aims to bring an accurate representation of the Star Wars galaxy into Stellaris.

Features
  • Complete redesign of the galaxy after current legends lore
  • Four different sized static galaxies with lore-accurate modelled systems ranging from small ~300 systems up to huge with 2300+ systems. This map-type is WIP! At the moment 426 systems are finished!
  • The same four sized static galaxies with randomized systems like in a vanilla game!
  • Accurate Hyperlanes
  • Selectable starting systems that lets you spawn in most of the well-known Star Wars systems
  • Play with your own created empires, compatible with almost every vanilla Stellaris feature

Roadmap
  • Adding more and more systems to the lore-accurate maps
  • New map types that let you play in different regions of the galaxy

Contribute
Star Wars Galaxy 2 is an open-source project which means everyone can join in on the development. If you want to contribute join the Renegades Modding Group Community Discord and look at the Contributing doc on GitLab.

Compatibility and Load Order
Star Wars Galaxy 2 is compatible with most mods! To increase compatibility this mod should always be the last in your playset, even below mods that should normally be at the bottom.
Here is a small list of Mods and features that don't work:
  • Mods that make heavy changes with the galaxy generation. This doesn't include mods that add systems, modifiers, deposits or anything similar!
  • New origins that change your starting planet or add modifiers to it may not work, depending on how it's implemented.

Known Issues
  • Border Issue: In places, with a lot of systems, the border of your empire may not show correctly or sometimes not even at all. This is especially the case at the start of the large and huge map for example in the Juvex sector. The problem mostly disappears if you build one or two outposts. If you have a problem identifying which systems are in your borders and which not take a close look at the map. Systems you have an outpost in will have a hexagon with your empire color.
  • Fallen Empires and Marauders: Since this is a static galaxy the normal way of spawning the fallen empires and the marauders doesn't work. At the moment they only spawn with one system. For the random map, it would require a complete rewrite to make them spawn with multiple systems again and I would like to focus on others aspect of the mod first. At the moment the lore-accurate maps work the same in this regard but here I can fix this easier when more systems are added.

I was able to get this working on the newest version of stellaris. I am going to try a full game but it does load in. All you have to do is go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\2475935823\interface and replace the custom_species_editors.gui with the updated version from the vanilla stellaris file under the same name. my file path may be different due to one drive. but you should be able to right click on stellaris and browse local files. Find the interface folder and there should be the custom_species_editors.gui file. copy that one. Hope this helps.

I honestly have no clue what to do from here? Sorry.

@tredavidson77 that sucks. I would gladly help, but I have no idea how to mod.
Any plan for how to go forward?

The mod really should be labelled as "abandoned" at this point, it's a basic service

Yeah it was a bust. I was aiming to have the mod updated to work with current versions but something in it just made the game crash when loading the main menu. I or someone else may need to make a new mod from the ground up and make a successor.
