The Ancient World

Beskrivning
-----Do you want to enjoy playing the Empires of Egypt, Babylon, Assyria, Greece, Persia, and more? All the great civilizations that illuminated our Ancient History? This enormous map will bring you that great oppertunity to you. It centers itslef in between the Glorious Nile Valley and the Fertile Cresent - while reaching the city of Rome as its North-Western limit, the lush exotic lands of Nubia as its Southern limit, and the gateway to India as its Eastern Limit. All the important rivers are in its place, as well as the nature and it's climate. All almost perfectly placed on the map to from all the important forestlands, marshes, plains, deserts and more. The civilizations will start on their rightful territories with their rightful group of cities on their rightful places. Now you can even enjoy the true pace of time, as the rate of technology is reduced to 700%.

--Can you bring your Ancient Civilization well into the Modern World? Can it's culture survive the industrial revolution? Can the culture of the Ancient World not only survive, but even thrive and evolve into a higher form of art and asethetics under your command? Or will you civilization forget high culture but rather choose to rely on conventionalism?--

-----Mods: I strongly suggest you to use Thomatekh's 'Historical Religions Complete' mod for a better religion game.
---Important: If my technology mod does not work for you, download the 'Extra Slow Reserch' mod then change the number in marathon mode to 2100 in the xml file.

--This map contains 16 major civs and 20 city states. There are 216 cities, and almost all of them are placed geographicaly properly and named historicaly right. Other cities at least represent regions that exited (Example - The Libyan 'city' of Tahmehu should actually represent the region of southern Libya) Older civilizations will get an advantage at the start of the game.
Territories covered: Italy, Balkan, Anatolia, Caucasus, Syria, Levant, Egypt, Nubia, Punt, Sahara, Sicilia, Numidia, Mesopotamia, Persia, Scythia, Balochistan, Aral, and Arabia.

Would have been great if it didn't throw off the entire balance of the game, the tech is so horribly slow, you don't have a choice but waste turns upon turns on building units and destroying them because if you don't, you lose all your gold, and your population is always unhappy no matter what you do. Can't play tall, can't play wide, 150 turns to research half the ancient techs while having birthed over twenty warriors that serve no purpose... oh and if you don't disable this mod, the tech unbalance will convey onto any other game you try to play, it took me no less than two hours debugging mod by mod to finally discover it was this one breaking everything else

why the capital of Egeon Empire is called Theracelnople instead of Thera and why the also go for Eastern Orthodoxy in 3000BC

Hello JesperBN
I really thank you for the compliments :)
I am surprised that you were still researching trapping at turn 300.
I did make the techs to go extremely slow to enjoy the Ancient~Medieval times, but I did not know that it would turn out like that.
Marathon is the right mode to play, epic might work as well. Once Greece can go into the higher techs, things will get easier, so focus on technology is important untill the civ becomes stable.
If you play as Egypt, it will start with about 70 unhappy citizens, so the more the cities, the harder to stabilize, but it will get easier and easier.
But trapping on turn 300 is a problem
Try decreasing the technology modification down a notch.
