This guide will show you how to edit certain attributes of your character like breast size, penis/no penis, voice type and more. Based loosely on the old character editing guide by BadDragon, although this method works in the current version ( r5.26.1).
YOU WILL NEED NOTEPAD++ TO MODIFY YOUR CHARACTER FILE

Make sure you have notepad++ installed, otherwise characters will not be displayed right.

1. Go to the C:\Users\yourname\AppData\LocalLow\Ruffleneck\Hunt and Snare folder, which can be easily accessed by searching %appdata% in the windows search, then navigating out of \Appdata\Roaming to \Appdata\LocalLow\.
2. Find The name of your character ( should be a name with a string of characters afterward, such as Rel_DI3DV5L9.bytes and open it using Notepad++

4. Open your Guide file ( linked above ) in Notepad++ aswell.
5. navigate to Edit -> Character Panel and open it. This should display a panel called Ascii Codes Insertion Panel.

I highly suggest making a backup of your character file before editing it. The game doesn't like running characters with a bad file.

1. Press CTRL + F and search for "Breasts". The line you are looking for should be the first result. It should be in the same format as breasts_0_none
2. In the guide file, find the title called ***Breasts***
3. IMPORTANT Do NOT copy paste. For some reason, windows does not link copy/pasting NUL tags, of which these files have tons of. Instead, we will be using the ASCII panel we opened earlier to insert NUL tags.
4. Choose the size you want ( if you want to remove them, it will be breasts_0_none )
5. Very carefully replace the existing line with the one in the guide file, making sure to triple check that all the characters are correct.
6. Save the file and restart the game, and you should have your desired result.

1. Press CTRL + F and search for "penis_". The line you are looking for should be the first result. It should be in the same format as penis_Davh ( or the name of your species )
2. In the guide file, find the title called ***Penis***
3. IMPORTANT Do NOT copy paste. For some reason, windows does not link copy/pasting NUL tags, of which these files have tons of. Instead, we will be using the ASCII panel we opened earlier to insert NUL tags.
4. Very carefully replace the existing line with the one in the guide file, making sure to triple check that all the characters are correct. You can also change the last tag on the line, which should be a M-NUL if there's no penis and M-SOH if there is.
5. Save the file and restart the game, and you should have your desired result.

1. Press CTRL + F and search for "voiceType". The line you are looking for should be the first result.
2. In the guide file, find the title called ***Voice***
3. IMPORTANT Do NOT copy paste. For some reason, windows does not link copy/pasting NUL tags, of which these files have tons of. Instead, we will be using the ASCII panel we opened earlier to insert NUL tags.
4. Very carefully replace the existing line with the one in the guide file, making sure to triple check that all the characters are correct. You can also find the SOH or STX tags and switch them ( SOH for male voice, STX for female voice )
5. Save the file and restart the game, and you should have your desired result.

I've not been able to get this one to work correctly, but it should in theory change the pronouns the NPCs call you.
1. Press CTRL + F and search for "gender". The line you are looking for should be the first result and the first line in the file.
2. In the guide file, find the title called ***Gender***
3. IMPORTANT Do NOT copy paste. For some reason, windows does not link copy/pasting NUL tags, of which these files have tons of. Instead, we will be using the ASCII panel we opened earlier to insert NUL tags.
4. Very carefully replace the existing line with the one in the guide file, making sure to triple check that all the characters are correct. You can also find the SOH or STX tags and switch them ( SOH for male pronouns, STX for female pronouns )
5. Save the file and restart the game, and you should have your desired result.

1. Press CTRL + F and search for "masculinity". It should be the only result in the file.
2. In the guide file, find the title called ***Body Type***
3. IMPORTANT Do NOT copy paste. For some reason, windows does not link copy/pasting NUL tags, of which these files have tons of. Instead, we will be using the ASCII panel we opened earlier to insert NUL tags.
4. Very carefully replace the existing line with the one in the guide file, making sure to triple check that all the characters are correct. This one can be tricky, sometimes it has four tags, and sometimes it has none.
5. Save the file and restart the game, and you should have your desired result.
