Santa Victoria is an awesome tropical archipelago with high mountains and magnificent white sand beaches.

about 150,000 / 250,000 trees
6,800 / 50,000 props
3 highway connections : two useful connections are located in the South and one is hidden in the fog of the Northwest corner. It is up to you to decide if you want to build an additional viaduct.
3 rail connections
4 ship connection and 4 plane connections

Tides
This map is specially designed to be used with the Tides Mod (by TPB)
Range 10
Speed 0.1 (for a full rotation of the tide every 40 minutes)
This mod causes sea level to rise and fall. It can add a nice little touch of realism to your game. "Use initial sea level as high tide". With this option, the initial sea level (default on the map) will be used as the high tide. Thus, your city will not be flooded. Under the large bridge you can see a standing stone. This landmark indicates high tide at 60 meters (not to be exceeded). 10 meters further down you see an old car. It indicates low tide.

A magnificent fortified citadel
is located not far from the start square, an ideal place to build your old town or a military base. In addition, 4 maritime forts protect access to the strait where the citadel is located. The whole is vaguely inspired by the Atlantic military device imagined in the time of Louis XIV, King of France, around the towns of Concarneau, La Rochelle, Oléron Island, Fort Louvois and Fort Boyard.

IMPORTANT - a one click COLLECTION IS ABOVE THIS TEXT - DONT MISS IT
This map demands a collection of custom mods & assets, and to get it to look similar to the screenshots. In general you only need the assets & mods listed to the right. This is the basic detail level of the map. If you want the full detail experience then subscribe to all the assets in the collection.

The Ma(p)triarch

About the map / Thanks to BonBonB, Sidai and LardoYek
I bought Cities Skylines on April 28, 2018 and for more than a year, I played exclusively with vanilla maps imagined by the game designers ... In the spring of 2019, tired of building grid cities, I felt the need to create other things including maps. Totally new to this, I watched some uninteresting tutorials. One day the algorithm of YT suggested to me to watch the emissions of the British youtuber BonBonB. Being French, I was initially very reluctant to watch a video in English. However, I let myself be tempted. It was a real revelation !!! As if an angel had come down from Heaven to teach me all the secrets of the Universe. On this channel, I found all the possible tips and tricks, technical and aesthetic advice, but also to worry about the smallest details ... a small rock and 2-3 bushes near an essential lighthouse, for example. ..
Thanks to BonBonB, every day, I watch the new maps shared on the Workshop ... Some are more beautiful than others ...
The biggest aesthetic shock was to admire "Two Brothers Island", the masterpiece unsurpassable from the creator Sidai ... A magnificent tropical landscape, an elegant rail and road network, perfect bridges and tunnels, waterfalls, bays and creeks ... Amazed, I promised myself that I could achieve something approaching, below but approaching …a pretty little island that could be considered as the neighbor of "Two Brothers Island", an island located in front of its shores ...
However BonBonB, also shows much less inspired creations ... When I see these awkward creations, I don't dismiss them as despicable things. On the contrary, I see in them their potential for improvement … sketches of a painting to come ... Victoria Island by LardoYek is one of them ... Despite its aesthetic shortcomings, it is one of my most favorite maps ... virgin land where anything is possible …
Over a period of 2 years, I created 13 maps; 25 including the alternative versions ... Two years during which, I learned to create pretty maps.

A family of maps
My first creation "The secret of Cape Schnurtz" is a sandbox where I learned to use terraforming tools.
The second, "Zoria Island" is an improvement of Victoria Island by LardoYek (my first remake).
My third map is a variation of this one. It was first published as Zubida Island. A failure in terms of subscriptions because I chose a very bad thumbnail; a view of an intersection (very bad idea). I was very disappointed but a few weeks later I decided to repost it as Abakadaba with a better image. Very quickly it exceeded 1000 subscribers. It is also the first to have been presented by BonBonB in its daily show !!! (I was very happy to be on TV !!!!).
I did a parody version of it, "Idimifidi (P3X-1976)" the giant mushroom planet ... presented as a parallel world.
The Abakadaba heightmap is also the starting point of the Mossissobo map. A great success with 42,800 subscription thanks to the youtuber Biffa and his Teaport series !!!
As for Titilopoppo, it is a modification of the heightmap of Mossissobo !!!
By making a family tree of my main maps we can say that Abakadaba is the mother of Mossissobo and the Grandmother of Titilopoppo. "Victoria Island is the mother of Zoria Island, Abakadaba and Idimifidi !!!
Thus presented, "Victoria Island" is the venerable Ma (p) triarch of a large family ...
A growing family with two new young children; "Santa Victoria" and "Evil Island".

Strange destiny for a small map disdained by all, a small island that looks like a rabbit's head grafted onto a boot .... Ha Ha Ha !!!

Santa Victoria, a pastiche of "Two Brothers Islands" by Sidai
A pastiche is a work of visual art, literature, theatre, or music that imitates the style or character of the work of one or more other artists.Unlike parody, pastiche celebrates, rather than mocks, the work it imitates.
Wanting to imitate Sidai's style is not an easy thing. However, today I feel ready to offer you "Santa Victoria". This recreation / improvement work is the modest "Victoria Island" map by LardoYek with the idyllic landscapes of the "Two Brothers Islands" by Sidai. We can say that it is the marriage of the Beast with Beauty !!!
Santa Victoria is the result of more than 150 hours of work. Before that I "traveled" through the maps of Sidai for a long time. This is to draw my inspiration from it. In a few words, a map of sidai is a magnificent landscape with roads everywhere ... and a dozen freeway interchanges (almost always the same collection) !!!
The first 20 hours of work came to nothing. The recreation of the mountains was not satisfactory. So I started all over again. The second difficulty was to create a rail and road network ... Again, the first attempt was not satisfactory ... the second either ... Finally, I decided to place fewer intersections and interchanges. Here the road network is dense in the south, moderately dense in the center and very rural in the north. Making the beaches was very easy and fun ... so to add a bit of difficulty I decided to make them compatible with the Tides Mod (2 landscapes in 1).
