Description
12 slot end-game cruiser. Incorporates iron, trinium, xanion, ogonite, and avorion components.

Internals have been optimized to put the ship on par with the Miranda class hull configuration. The ship only lags behind on rotational speeds.

Play tested on an insane difficulty test galaxy. The end game refit was applied to the USS Lexington in sector -16:106. The Avorion was supplied by a delicate mining operation that involving the wormhole connecting sectors -30:98 and -17:30.

The Lexington operated 6 point defense lasers, 10 offensive lasers dealing a combination of plasma and energy damage, 6 bolters, and a single ogonite r-salvage turret for a total of 16k om. Her hangar operated 8 squadrons including a repair team, a salvage team, and assault teams comprised of anti-matter pulse cannon and standard cannon fighters.

With modules, the Lexington was defended by 17.39M shield HP.

The Lexington's primary mission was to hunt down and eliminate Xsotan breeding nests. Its combined turrets were capable of 20 seconds of sustained fire and could eliminate a hardcore Xsotan Summoner before the enemy established an incoming wormhole. Its fighter squadrons would then be deployed to occupy any enemies equipped with a Quantum skip drive.

The USS Lexington and the USS Remnant (miranda class) succeeded in reaching the galactic center and defeating the Xsotan Wormhole Guardian orbiting the super massive black hole. Only the USS Lexington survived.

Celebration across the galaxy was short lived and the USS Lexington was destroyed in sector -28:7 during the Xsotan retaliation following the defeat of the Wormhole guardian.

@Wagner I think I've finally got the proportions right for the insane galaxy Excelsior. After some flight tests and watching the episodes of DS9 that feature the USS Lakota, I opted to rebuild the saucer section at a different size. It's coming along, just a bit at a time.

Duty, It looks like you have completed your run on Insane. Great job and thanks for the wonderful ships. If you have time would you still consider the Excelsior Class. You have a wonderful collection of ships here and really would love to have her. Thank you for this collection. It is my go to for any Trek play through.

@Wagner I've got the saucer section for the Excelsior complete and the nacelles. We'll see if the Avorion refit Constitution and Miranda are enough for the wormhole guardian. If not, the next two vessels for this play through are a Centaur and the Excelsior.

Is there still a chance of a Excelsior class? I realize it would be a huge undertaking so I understand if not. Either way man you are the best. I love everyone of your ships!
