X1A2 Carcará

O coração de sua existência é o carro de combate leve M3 Stuart, um veículo norte americano que foi utilizado na segunda guerra em grandes quantidades em muitos países na Europa, Ásia, África e América, armado com um canhão de 37mm e metralhadoras de Calibre .30-06 (7.62x63mm), com o veículo tendo uma velocidade máxima de 58km/h (Estrada). O veículo americano possui um motor radial da Continental-Wright com 250hp, e um peso de 14 toneladas.

Muitos desses veículos foram exportados para muitos países, inclusive o Brasil, que, por sua vez, recebeu mais de 350 blindados da variação M3A2, A3 e A5, e permaneceu em uso até os anos 70, até o exército substituir os mesmos pelo o M41 Walker Bulldog. Embora já com uso limitado, ainda havia bastantes quantidades desses veículos, e com isso, um programa para a modernização do M3 Stuart foi executado, e empresas nacionais começaram a apresentar as suas variantes do veículo, com uma dessas empresas sendo a Bernardini e a Biselli, cuja as mesmas apresentaram o X1 Pioneiro.

O X1 Pioneiro é praticamente o M3 Stuart com um motor mais potente (Scania DS11, 260hp = 55km/h) e com uma torre larga que tem o Canhão de 90mm DEFA F1, de fabricação francesa, aumentando o seu poder de fogo significantemente. A quantidade desse tipo ronda aos 53 blindados utilizados entre 1976 e 1994.

A variação seguinte, o X1A1, teve o seu casco alongado, com mais dois bogies instalados em cada lado, mas permanece o mesmo no motor, blindagem e poder de fogo.

O próximo tipo, o X1A2 Carcará, foi a versão que modificou o Stuart em muitos aspectos, começando pela sua blindagem, que, graças ao angulo e mais blindagem, o veículo possui uma proteção superior aos modelos anteriores. A torre é mais larga, e foi considerada a utilização do Canhão belga Cockerill MK.3, de 90mm (e a sua cópia licenciada: ENGESA EC-90, o mesmo do Cascavel). o Veículo, com o motor Scania DS11, com uma potência superior de 285hp, pode alcançar os 60km/h. 24 Blindados foram produzidos e utilizados até '76 e '94, até serem finalmente aposentados.

em teste desses veículos, a performance dos mesmos foram superiores ao M3 antigos, porem, houve diversas falhas relacionados à transmissão que, no caso do X1A2, não era um equipamento extraordináriamente confiável, o que possívelmente justificou o curto tempo de sua operação no exército.

O programa não era para criar um veículo ultramoderno com um veículo dos anos 40, foi para criar um veículo mais moderno que o seu antecessor, ao mesmo tempo em que traz a experiência de fabricação de blindados para o Brasil, possibilitando um conhecimento maior sobre a fabricação do tipo de veículo.

Poís é, meus caros, há variações do M3 Stuart feitos no Brasil, justamente na era de ouro de blindados da pátria verde e amarela.

A réplica deu um trabalho considerável, mas valeu muito a pena, considerando que, NOVAMENTE, ninguem se quer arriscou à sequer tentar a replicar os veículos brasileiros, até mesmos os mais conhecidos.

Enfim, eu espero que tenha gostado.

Eu gostaria de ter algum método de reduzir o lag do veículo sem destruir a essência do veículo, mas infelizmente, isso não foi possível.

The heart of it's existence is the M3 Stuart light tank, a north american vehicle that was heavily used in various countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and America during the second world war, armed with a 37mm cannon and .30-06 (7.62x63mm) machine guns, the vehicle is capable of reaching the maximum speed of 58km/h (road). The north american vehicle contains a Continental-Wright 250hp engine, weighing the whole vehicle up to 14 tonnes.

a lot of these vehicles were exported to a lot of different countries, including Brazil, which, at the time, recieved more than 350 of them in the M3A2,A3 and A5 variants, and remained in service until the 70s, when the brazilian army decided to replace it with the M41 Walker Bulldog. Whilst in limited use, there was still large quantities of the Stuart tanks and with that in mind, a modernization program of the vehicle was executed, and local manufacturers began to present variants of their own, with one of those manufacturers being Bernardini and Biselli, of which they presented the X1 Pioneiro.

the X1 is pratically a M3 Stuart with a more powerful engine (Scania DS11, 260hp = 55km/h) and a larger turret to contain the 90mm french DEFA F1 cannon, raising it's firepower significantly. 53 X1 vehicles were used between 1976 and 1994.

the following variant, the X1A1, had it's hull lengthened, with 2 more bogies installed, but still kept the same engine, armour and firepower of the X1.

The next type, the X1A2 Carcará, was a version that was the most modified Stuart in a lot of aspects, starting from the armour that, thanks to addition of extra armour and angle, made the vehicle superior in protection to it's earlier variants. The turret is larger, and considered the use of the belgium Cockerill MK.3 90mm (or it's licensed copy: ENGESA EC-90, the same from the Cascavel). The vehicle, with Scania DS11 with a superior 285hp, can reach 60km/h. 24 vehicles were manufactured and were used from 76 to 94, until they were finally retired.

In testing of these vehicles, the performance were superior to the old M3s, however, there were many failures related to the transmission that, in the case of the X1A2, was not exactly a reliable piece of equipment, of which may have justified it's short service life.

the program was not to make a ultramodern vehicle with a tank from the 40s, it was merely to modernize the vehicle, at the same time having the experience in manufacturing tanks for Brazil, leading to a big intake of knowledge of manufacturing this type of vehicle.

Yep, my friends, there is M3 Stuart variants made in Brazil, right in it's golden era of tanks.

the replica was a bit of a handful to make, but it was worth it, seeing that, AGAIN, nobody stepped up to even attempt in replicating brazilian vehicles, not even the well known ones.

Anyways, i hope you enjoyed.

i would have liked to have some method of reducing it's lag, but alas, that was not possible.
