Vanilla | Survival | Subgrids | No Scripts | No DLC


An artillery cruiser built entirely around a bunch of piston jolt guns.


The X-400 is just a big fat gun. Well, eight of them to be exact.

It can fly on planets, has a bit of interior, a few turrets, jump drives and stuff. But really non of that matters, it's just a bigass gun that can destroy pretty much everything. Try it out, it has probably the most powerful vanilla guns atm.
Of course you could just replace them with rocket launchers or gatling shredders or whatever, the rest of the ship is as blank as it can be, no DLC, no further subgrids etc.

The guns only work in experimental mode, they will probably blow up otherwise.

The ship does not need any DLCs. It does however have a ton of subgrids. Technically it should be possible to weld it all up with the multigrid projector plugin, but I can't vouch for it not blowing up.

Does probably not work with the multigrid projector plugin and weaponcore.

Seems to still be working just fine on my end. My best guess is you aren't in experimental or you have some mod conflicts. While old, this has always been a favorite of my crew.

Watching my friends build this thing is almost as much fun as watching it wreck havoc on the enemy. This ship is subject to self destruction, be warned. Boy is it worth of the effort in building it though.

The warhead are getting stuck in the ship itself.

I absolutely adore this ship, but unfortunately after updating I can no longer get the pistons to fire properly. Even when stationary it won't fire. Again, love this mod but it no longer works for me.

Not sure if keen has changed anything, but the piston jolt guns have stopped operating correctly after the first round of shots. on the second and consecutive shots, the rounds either fall off the end of the ship, or they blow up part of the ship. could just be me though.

It has around 22 MN of up thrust, so around 2.75 g. Should work, but just barely.
