The AFM-01 fits cleanly in the Module 1 bay and adds additional storage and manufacturing capabilities to the Aurora Light Carrier.

The AFM-01 is not intended to be a stand alone ship and along with her sistership the ACM-02 https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2426096369 is designed strictly to be a support module for the Aurora Light Carrier.

Thrusters are for maneuvering in space and docking only. While she will fly empty on a 1g planet, her overall performance is limited.

Unlike other modules, the AFM-01 and ACM-02 are built to fit snugly into their respective docking bays. As such, for optimal positioning, see the image in the gallery above for where you should be targeting. The end results should have the AFM and ACM fitting tight against the top of the Aurora with only a slight space between the sides of the carrier and module.
