Description
In this game you play as a man named Ryner as you set out on a journey with your childhood friend, Rina, to visit the Fire Goddess at the nearest tower. However, your simple journey quickly turns into a long adventure!

Hello everyone. I would just like to say that this is my first game. I have been working on this since late December and I have asked various people to play through it, test it, and let me know what they think. However, very few people have actually done that. I would really appreciate it if people could play through the game and let me know what they think (Note: It is not done yet). There is a decent amount of gameplay and it is quite obvious where it stops. I am open to feedback (both positive and negative), but please be nice about it.

I know that there are a few minor things I should change in the first few places (like the size of some of the buildings), but I just haven't had the motivation to go back and change all of that yet. If you are able to go far enough into the game, you may notice that it starts getting slightly better (or I would hope so). Also, there is a huge continuity issue (I AM planning on fixing this in the near future), so please don't criticize me too much if you spot it.

I do have some references in the game (the title look familiar to some?). I do not claim ownership of any of the custom scripts, images, or tilesets. I have been trying to compile a list of where I got all of the material I used, so if you know where I got some of the material, please let me know so I can add it to my list and give proper credit to the artist or creator.

I will try to update the game as often as possible (for the very few that actually enjoy the game).

The title is just a placeholder at the moment since I am terrible with coming up with titles. The main character in the game is named after the main character in that show though. Other than that, the game shouldn't have anything to do with the anime.

I am currently working on it, in case people were wondering. I am having a hard time thinking of dialogue and how I want things to play out at the moment. Sorry for the delay, but there should be an update within the next few days (if work permits time).

I have been notified of that major bug and I have been trying to rebalance it. Whenever the next update comes (it may be a while due to a busy schedule), it should be fixed. I know that there are a few more things I need to rebalance, so they are on my list of things to do. I did plan on having the wizard be "weaker" in terms of HP, but if you are saying you always die in a few hits, then I may need to look at that as well. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

UPDATE:
I haven't made much progress from where the current version ends, which I apologize for. I plan on working on some of it this weekend if I have the chance though. I am generally unable to work on it during the weekdays due to work. It has also been hard to come up with the motivation to work on it since I am kind of in a slump, but I will admit that it makes it easier to get the motivation when people actually comment and give feedback!

nice game, i really like it,... but i am stuck in the village by the second tower, its impossible for a wizard to defeat wu.
he is faster, immune to sleep and can kill me with two hits!
i have only 1 attack before going down.
actually, every miniboss can kill a wizard with 1 or 2 hits.
i think wu or the wizard class need some rebalancing.
...and why does the paladin about 30% more spelldamage with saint, than my wizard with fire/ice on elemenal weak enemies?

enough complaining, i still like the game.

Just an update: I have been really busy with school and finals the past few weeks. Because of this, I have been unable to get a lot done with the game. I hope to get more work done over the summer, but I do have an internship, so I may be unable to get a lot of work done then as well. Sorry to those who are actually looking forward to the game and are currently waiting for a new version to come out.

Thank you for taking the time to actually write a review and what you thought about it so far. I did try to change the frequency of the item drops in the beginning portion (as well as some of the later portions). I will also be changing the amount of gold dropped since I noticed it is very easy to farm for a few minutes to get a lot of money. I will change the MP costs of everything in the near future as well.

well its got rlly good mechanics and all and a nice theme but it is rather easy you get far to many healing items beginning game for any of the enemies to be of a real threat and rina has way to much mana and not enough cost for her spells so you can just spam the heal if you want the enemies drop far to much loot as well since you can just farm for about a half hour then you can stock up on enough revival potions that death is no longer an issue but if you fix those few key things the game overall is an amazing game looking forward to your future work

I have updated the game, adding in a little bit more story (maybe 30min more?). Once again, quite obvious where it stops. I also changed a few things in the beginning (dialogue, adding an event if you examine something in Rina's room, etc.). There is a prologue now before the game begins, explaining what happened many years before the game's time period. Also, hitting shift now TOGGLES dashing. No more pinky strain while holding down that button! Also, I lowered the encounter rate. I am sure it was annoying getting in a battle every 5 seconds. Now it will happen every 10! (I don't know how often really)
