The disadvantage of SSP-99 is an extremely low level of protection from both monsters and people even with weak weapons (inferior even to the Zarya overalls), explosions and sharp objects, but nevertheless, it is very popular among scientists. In addition, he appears in the game too late, when you can get other excellent analogs that have a similar or slightly worse protection against anomalies with radiation.

In the absence of better protection against radiation and anomalies, the SSP-99 can be carried in your inventory and put on immediately before entering places teeming with the above dangers, since it does not weigh so much. However, in the event of an attack, you may not have time to change your uniform.
