Still 50 is not bad and feels more real world. Plenty to do but reachable and also inspires replay value in the same way FALLOUT 3 does where one tries out different skills. That is one big advantage of having a lower level cap it motivates one to replay the game with a different character to try out skills one did not have the opportunity to do with a previous character. Just imagine having countless skills to learn but a level cap of 50 where it would be impossible to learn them all with just one character.
The magic was diverse. I Like the ice mage and druid and my favorite was chaos magic and the illusion spell that turned enemy groups into farm animals. And a divine spell that I used to turn a weak regular soldier into a level 20 powerhouse by sucking xp from high level enemies.
The voice acting is a joy to hear and one of the things which kept me playing for many hours. Gave all the races a very unique character. Love the music capturing that 1990's rpg flavor ala DRAGON WARS etc.
