Description
12 slot mid to late game cruiser. Heavily inspired by the USS Reliant from The Wrath of Kahn. Very similar stats to the trinium Constitution refit.

Only one all trinium ship was built on its insane test galaxy, the self-titled USS Miranda. Constructed in sector -19:183, she served as the fleet flagship after the loss of the USS Enterprise 1701-A in sector -33:184.

Every Miranda/Constitution build I've performed at various scales confirms that the Miranda is the superior hull configuration. Although slightly smaller than the Constitution, the Miranda provides more usable hull volume.

With its mass situated mostly across the same plane, the Miranda possesses superior maneuverability, a slimmer forward profile when approaching enemies, and can still navigate dense asteroid fields.

The Miranda kept a balance in capabilities between its armed turrets and a variety of fighter craft. Its standard armament included 4 plasma turrets and 4 anti-matter cannons totaling at 5.8k om. Its hangars kept a full squadron of repair fighters, a full squadron of salvage fighters, and two squadrons of plasma laser armed fighters.

@Wagner that's the logical next choice. I can tell based on encounters at the barrier that the 12 slot ships are going to face some difficulties once they make the crossing. Even with Xanion and Avorion system upgrades, I'm going to need something with 3m unmodified shield HP to fight the wormhole guardian.

Duty, Do you think there is a chance of you building a Excelsior Class during your play though of Insane? Would just love to see it in here and fly her as well. Awesome job man. Love your work.
