Description
The Hira-class Logistic Support Vessel is a versatile shuttle of the Europan Navy Engineering Corps designed for the variety of missions in the trecherous water of Europa, from cargo transportation, cave exploration, to even Thalamus wreck salvage. While it may not have great operational range or duration, it remains a very effective close support vessel for Europan Navy.

Rated for 1 operator only, watch out for oxygen consumption with multiple people on board.

Comes with left & right variants, along with a demo craft to show case the shuttle's features.

Thumbnail & image designed by Geraiz on Undertow Discord.

[Known problems]:
- Shuttle auto shutdown when docked to speed up battery recharge. Do not dock left and right versions together, it will cause both to shut down.
- The thin slice of pressurized zone in the docking interface cause infrequent ragdoll and prevent AI crossing is a vanilla problem.
- Due to desync, sometimes the scattershot coilgun doesn't shoot all of the bolt at the same time. In that case, just stop firing and wait a bit before shooting again.

Features:

1. Amphibious cargo docking module:

Designed for diver support & cargo delivery, this special docking port allow for fast cargo loading & extraction without the need to go through an airlock. It also comes with battery & oxygen tank rechargers to extend diving duration. Refer to the demo craft for proper installation. (May sometimes have pressurized zone due to game physics, happens to vanilla ports too)

2. "Jack hammer" scattershot coilgun:

When scavenging progress is blocked by tough ice or wreck shells the "Jack Hammer" scattershot coilgun is a very effective tool to clear the obstacle. While its slow reload speed and wide spread makes it difficult to use as a self defense weapon, it is nontheless very effective thanks to low energy usage, and it is particularly powerful with explosive ammunitions. The super capacitor for this gun is only chargable when docked unless hot wired elsewhere.

3. Nuclear scuttle:

When captured by a Thalamus or otherwise impossible to be recovered, the shuttle is armed with a single nuclear depthcharge for scuttling and deliver major damage to the surrounding at the same time as a final attack. Upon activation, there is only a 20 seconds window before detonation for crew to clear the area, thus it is recommended to use this function with remote control mode.

4.Remote control mode:
In case of high risk missions, the Hira-class LSV can be remotely controlled up to 400m away, with full control of the shuttle available to remote operators. However this mode will use slightly more power and reduce operational duration.

5. Small size:
Only 3x3m in size, this shuttle is one of the smaller support vessels the Navy had, and is capable of entering most large caves for exploration and support for divers. Its ultra small airlock also allow passage without sinking the shuttle.

6.Power saving systems
Due to the high energy consumptions of the systems on board, the Hira is equipped with smart power saving systems to extend operation time, including oxygen generator that automatically shutdown if air quality is higher than 60%, as well as auto shutdown battery & oxygen recharger (watch the lights).

7.Wide scanning search lights.
A minor quality of life feature, the frontal lights of the Hira LSV automatically sweep around and illuminating the area for divers.

Like, could you add a switch that shuts down all systems in the ship, thus saving the battery power?

Is there anyway to make this a proper self sustaining ship? rather than just a shuttle that needs to be docked to recharge.

The Amphibious cargo docking module is fing amazing. Real smart and creative idea.

Yes that's what I guessed !
Thanks for the feedback, hopefully the devs will fix it in the next updates !

@Krisscut Yeah, it is an issue due to how there is a sorta ultra thin slice of pressurized zone in the interface between the docking ports, and it is a base game thing. Bots hates it, they either not know how to cross, or require a diving suit to cross

Hey, nice job thanks for the upload !

I have integrated it in a submarine and i'm working on the waypoints for the bots at the moment.
It seems the bots can't access the shuttle when it is docked. Any recommendations ?

I guess it's a waypoint issue, i have the same issue with the docking demo. (you can try to tell a bot to follow you and he won't).

Maybe it's an issue with the base game

@Bebi Yongsun: I will make it not shown in menu soon when updating.

@カメリア、海のドラゴ: It is not the terminal taking priority, the hitbox of the glass shell was covering it, moving the box by a few cms away from the glass works. I will update that soon.

is there a purpose why the docking demo vehicle is shown in the menu even in SP campaign? It just feels off to me that whenever I browse submarines I always see it, but can't even use it mid-campaign. :3

Junction box on nav terminal can't be interacted with sadly, nav terminal takes priority when hovering over
