... the checkbox toggle is not for toggling the visibility of the date/time, its to toggle the visibility of the sliders. You need to set opacity to 0 which you've figured out already

If i set the opacity to zero it works but that still means it's running in the Background

Its working perfectly fine for me so I don't think there's much i can do about it. Is it like that on the other wallpapers for you as well?

The general option to toggle the showing of dates isn't working. when i toggle it off day and date remain on screen

This is great! However, the moon Triton follows a retrograde orbit but the wallpaper shows a normal orbit.
