Description
RimPy issues with dependancy
Basically it's the Rimpy Mod Manager Database being out of date so to fix it you go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1847679158\db, open db.json, search for the id of the old mod (World map beautification project in this case) and delete the entry, being careful not to ruin the syntax of the file.

Alpha Biomes Addon
This is a DLC for the mod "World Map Beautification Project" by Odeum.

The DLC adds support for the "Alpha Biomes" mod

Features
Feralisk Infested Jungle
- An incredibly thick jungle, completely infested with spiders.
  • Lush green hills
  • Thick jungles
Gallatross Graveyard
- These parched mudflats are littered with the ancient bones of colossal Gallatrosses.
  • Sandy windswept mountains
  • Bone Jungles
Gelatinous Superorganism
- A huge mould-like organism has grown in this area, basically destroying the previous existing ecosystem, and replacing it with an alien landscape of its own creation.
  • Solidified Slime mountains
  • Strange sticky trees
Mechanoid Intrusion
- A mechanoid hive was dismantling this biome, turning its mass into computronium, and hastily left it abandoned for unknown reasons.
  • Mountains made of machine
  • Strange looking trees
Mycotic Jungle
- The Mycotic Jungle is a super dense overgrowth of massive giant mushrooms, covered in a coat of mycelium.
  • Fungus covered mountains
  • Forests of strange mushrooms
Ocular Forest
- This sickly looking forest seems to be completely alien, probably of an extra-dimensional origin.
  • Mountains tinted a strange red
  • Trees watching your every move
Propane Lakes
- Huge liquid propane lakes fill this desolate frozen landscape.
  • Snapfrozen Mountains topped in thick snow
  • Strange plants that almost look too fragile to touch
Pyroclastic Conflagration
- A desolate expanse of obsidian and solidified lava, with several active calderas bubbling menacingly.
  • Hot spiked rock
  • Even hotter trees
Rocky Crags
- This desertic landscape appears to be perpetually covered in an unnatural fog that seeps all light from the sun.
  • Dark spiked rocks, the dull glow of the plant life barely breaks through the fog
  • Plants that glow (currently not working)
Tar Pits
- Sun-baked mud, interspersed with patches of fertile grassy terrain.
  • Lush green plant-life
Idyllic Meadows
- Product of ancient terraforming, these open grasslands were designed to be an utopian paradise: giant flowers provide both construction materials and sustenance, while an abundance of wildlife creates ample ranching and hunting possibilities.
  • Beautiful flowers everywhere, small as dots and large as trees
Miasmic Mangrove
- Mangrove swamps, also known as mangals, are coastal wetlands found in tropical and subtropical regions.
  • Lush green plant-life in a humid environment

Since this mod has been reported working in 1.6 I added it to the No Version Warning-mod

Does this still work for 1.6?

Thank you for this great mod btw, it makes the game look so much richer

Hey, I noticed the <materialSizeMultiplier> tag in your Alpha Biomes patch makes the mountains render oversized compared to the hexes. If that was an artistic choice then no worries at all — but since your other world map beautification mod (more vanilla biomes patch) render mountains and foliage at the normal size, I thought it might be an oversight.

completely failed to notice the main game updated, lol

loaded up my game today and also had errors about not being able to load the mountain and snowy mountain textures for the some of the biomes, with pink squares on the map. i am not running more vanilla biomes but i am using WMBP Continued and ReGrowth. Nuking the DDS files also fixed it for me, so thanks for posting that @dawud.weaver

weirdly everything was working fine when i played yesterday, didnt add or remove anything and none of my mods have updated. not sure why it stopped working today, but glad there was a solution. love this mod!

I pinged Zaljerem about it, and their solution of nuking the dds files worked for me on the version I have locally in RimSort; maybe they just need to be recompiled? Or whatever one does to make them, I'm not a mod maker >.<

No rush, just dropping a list of problems when I tried to yolo this and more vanilla biomes. I'm using base world map beautification if that makes a difference. Forgot just how much better these look than the base case.

Ocular forest, mycotic jungle, gelatinous superorganism, gallatross graveyard, makes mountains/hills of any size into missing textures.

Pyroclastic conflagration, forsaken crags, mechanoid intrustion, coastal dunes, and stormy savanna are fine (probably missed several, it's harder to spot going right).

Feralist infested jungles are fine-ish, though the jungle isn't displaying alongside the mountains (unsure if intended behavior).

Alpine meadow is only fine if there's a path, strangely.

Just wanted to stop by and thank you for this amazing mod. I've been using it for so long it feels like vanilla content.
