Description
Plunder Bus mk2 uses 12 Nanobot Build and Repair Systems to quickly and efficiently strip a ship's or station's carcass clean. Just park this bad boy next to your latest conquest and watch it strip it to nothingness in very short order. Intended for planetary use using atmospheric thrusters, the Plunder Bus carries three large cargo containers for booty. Requisite power for all the thrusters is provided by 6 large and 12 small batteries, and 16 small reactors. The original version had two gatling turrets for defense and significantly fewer thrusters, but I found that adding more thrusters and two drills nicely serves two purposes: 1) much better acceleration, especially when fully loaded, to escape hostile NPCs, but if necessary you can quickly burrow underground for protection, and 2) you can approach and overcome a hostile station quickly and efficiently by tunneling to your destination; just select drills and right-click to begin tunneling.

As a last-minute change, I added an ejector to each drill to dump the drills if/when using them for mining. Although not its primary purpose, Plunder Bus can act as a rudimentary miner by drilling for ore; the ejected ore will be automatically picked up by the Nanobot Build and Repair Systems and stored in the cargo containers. I've turned off stone collection for the Nanobot Build and Repair Systems, but some of my testing showed that stone was being collected anyway. Go figure.

See change notes for description of updates.

NO DLC, ROTORS, OR PISTONS, and ONLY 1 MOD.

NOTES FOR BUILDING WITH A PROJECTOR IN SURVIVAL
(See the last picture for the projector's configuration.)
1. Build a rotor frame on a powered grid; remove the large-grid rotor head and replace with a small-grid rotor head and lock rotation.
2. Stack 3 armor blocks, minimum, vertically atop the small-grid rotor head to provide sufficient clearance for building the ship.
3. Build a small-grid projector on top of the topmost armor block; for consistency, rename the projector to be "PB - Projector".
4. Load the blueprint into the projector; click on the setting to retain the blueprint after construction is complete.
5. Build the blueprint.
6. When completed, grind away the small-grid rotor head, armor blocks, and rotor frame, leaving the projector in place for future repairs.

I've found it really useful to fly low and relatively close to an enemy base, go underground and tunnel to it, then strip it from underneath. Also, this version has better lift than the original, so it can carry more loot, especially on a planet like Pertam.

you pointed me to mk2 but why does it have drills when all i wanted was to park it and let it grind VC Fortress carriers
