An Impromptu Adjustment

Description
Up to 60% of Aperture Science Enrichment Centre surprises have been shown to be completely safe.

This is a short visual setpiece sort of map, not much of a puzzle. Probably the first map I've ever spent over a hundred hours on (though I wasn't timing it) and certainly the longest I've ever kept up my motivation. Glad to have finished it, and I'm happy with the feedback I've received since release.

@*Hunter* The vmf looks like a total mess, if I remember right :P. I'm not sure which white panels you mean specifically but it's a pretty sure bet they're just parented to panels playing an animation. In a couple of cases I parented a brush to a panel, then parented that panel to another panel as a way to combine two animations in some way, so it could also be that.

Oh! For the indicator lights, so you literally used a func_brush and just disabled/enabled- that's genius lmao.
How'd you do those white panels at the back of the button that slide in? Is it just a func door and func_door_rotating?
Man, I wonder what the vmf for this looks like lol.

By swapping out the rotating brush for one with correctly-baked lighting at exactly the right time. I think if I were doing this now I could find a simpler way, but hey, if it works it works

I opened this up in Hammer as a new Hammer guy, I got scared from all the player clips in the panel room and will never try to understand how this map even works ever again.

Holy shit, I had to "Host_timescale 0.1" in the console in order to process what was happening in the chamber during the big panel animation transition. All I can say is, holy shit, holy shit, and another holy shit on top wow this shit is fantastic I'm sorry. Might even be better than the official Valve levels lmao
