Cultural Siege Battle

Description
No longer will we hide behind these Urk walls! We will return the glory of Karaz Ankor!

Normal Description: Return of Warhammer 1 Style

This mod bring back a system in Warhammer 1 where cultural occupation will convert the siege map to one of their culture.

example:

Empire originated settlement own by High Elve will use High Elve siege map instead of Empires one, and same goes with other races that can have wall.

Remember this only on walled non-gate settlement!

Loreful Description:

It always irritated the High King to no end why he is forced to settle his dwarf kins in a elvish settlement they captured long ago, or unable to restore a greenskin Karak back to its dwarven glory. Despite the ability march into chaos waste or Athel Loren in raiding stance and came out unharmed, despite these godly feats rival only by the gods themselves, yet they can't build a new city on top of depopulated elven city and even be forced to live in it? can't even redecorate a reclaimed Karak?! Hundreds of pages of Dammaz-Kron!

So in one drunken night, alone with dozens of empty Bugsman barrels, the High King plea to the Dark Gods of Chaos for salvation, deliver his people from this nightmare! And they anwser him flags. These victory flags, simply place them in former victory point and they erect city overnight while demolish the old city.

Now with such salvation at hand, Dwarf armies march to war with fervent zeal, determined to capture other races cities, but the Dwarf aren't the only race who receive this blessing...

It is all just a ploy of Tzeentch.

ISSUEs :

This mod is incompatible with GCCM or other similar mods.

Siege Battle may not match with the local climate. Example: A Bretonnian occupied Khemri, if been attacked will be as though fought in greenish bretonnian land!

Gate Battles are unaffected. Raze them!

May have other unintended(dangerous) effects.

Good to hear you will port it to WH3 at some point.

Probably not porting to WH3 anytime soon, as I cannot reliably update the mod to-date with WH3 game system constantly changing. I will try to recreate the mod once the game has calm down.

In the meantime, feel free to port this mod into the third game if you really want it badly. As long as you give credit to the original.

What are the chances of seeing a port from this to Wh3?

"incompatible with GCCM"
Does that include the Unique Faction Capitals mod or just the one that changes settlement maps?

Sorry for the late reply.

The mod only affect walled settlement. If you use a mod that enable wall in norscan settlement then the siege battle will change according to who owns it.

As for gate battle: interesting, I guess it is one of the unintended effects as I never intended to change them. Not sure if it is dangerous. Cautious!

This mod is... AWSOME! Finally I won't have to see the Lizardmen defending a High-Elf city colony in Lustria from my Dark Elf army! I really appreciate your hard work, and you said in the discription that only the gate doesn't change right? Well guess what, it did change with me!

I only have one question though, if I capture a Norscan settlement in the Chaos wastes as the Dark elves and can't construct a wall, will the terrain change to a Dark Elf-like in Naggaroth?

Things has certainly been quiet if not a bit too empty.

If anyone discover bug(s), do try to report them as detailed as possible, for I am terrible at chasing down bugs. :steamsad:

For some reason he doesn't want to work for me. :steamsad:

It is not clear only how the developers got to this, in the first Total War: Warhammer it was the same :steamfacepalm:
