NOW WITH COSMETIC TAG IDEOLOGY FIX!

RADIANT FLAGS EDITIONS

OVERVIEW
Radiant Flags is a flag overhaul mod for those who want historical immersion in their Hearts of Iron IV games. It prioritizes historical flags and, when historically no flag existed for a country or ideology, it tries to be realistic, guessing what the flag may have been.

FEATURES
More than 2400 historical and realistic flags for the 1936-1946 timeframe:
  • All vanilla starting countries, releasable tags and formable nations.
  • All DLC content flags.
  • New custom flags for cosmetic tags.
  • Replaced flags with versions that were used historically.
  • Fixed flags whose colors don't match official specifications.
  • Fixed flags with stretched or cropped proportions.
  • Fixes the cross-ideology errors with cosmetic tags.

FAQ
  • Why are the democratic, fascist and non-aligned flags of many countries the same?
Because most countries don't change their flags when its government changes. I only included different flags when they were used historically.
  • Can I suggest other flag designs?
Yes! Post a message below and explain your suggestion and why do you think it's better.

Can you add Albert Speer's TNO flag? Would be a nice addition!

@Aes Thanks!

@Кацураги, I use Paint.NET with Fant compression method and gamma correction enabled. I did many tests and those settings gave the best results.

I have since deleted the save, so it isn't a big deal for me now (can't speak for others) but something to note in case of future name changes.
Aes  [author] 26 Jan @ 3:59am
@djvandebrake aaah, okay. I'll see if I can change the name on Steam without changing the internal name. But can you load the game and play anyway?
djvandebrake 21 Jan @ 7:11am
No, the mod does work fine but when you changed the name it reads it as different in the save file. So it is like it is detecting a new mod and the old mod is removed, even though it is really the same mod. Presumably if you had a save file unpacker, you could alter the name in the save file and make it work, but I'm not familiar with such.
