Heap of Foods

Description

  • This mod is purely about Grinding and Cooking foods! With tons of new content about it, you will surely lose your mind when it comes to using the Crock Pot!

  • Featuring foods from Shipwrecked, Hamlet, The Gorge, Unimplemented Foods and even Exclusive Foods made only for this mod!

  • Over 200 New Crock Pot Dishes: Uncover them and fill your Cookbook to the brim!

  • Over 50 New Ingredients: Tons of new items to be used in the local cuisine.

  • Over 10 New Plants: Farm Crops and many bountiful Bushes and Pickables to increment your repertoire of cooking ingredients.

  • New Warly Spices: Feeling tired about the usual spices? Try the new ones, from setting your enemies ablaze to increasing food stats or even no spoilage penalties!

  • Whole New Places: The Serenity Archipelago and The Seaside Island, where you will find tons of new content and mobs to assist you in your culinary journey.

  • Reworked Monster Foods: Characters that can eat this type of food will gain the full benefits with no drawbacks anymore!

  • The Gorge Cookware: Cooking foods will never be the same again!

  • A New Category of Foods: The Artisan Goods. Brew and produce an array of new beverages using the Wooden Keg and the Preserves Jar!

  • The Artisan Products can be produced using the Wooden Keg and the Preserves Jar, they can be crafted near an Alchemy Engine in the Cooking Filter.

  • They take several days to be done. Some of them have special effects and they do not count towards the Cookbook, instead, they can be viewed at the Brewbook, which is a exclusive book for this new category of foods.

  • Wooden Kegs and Preserves Jar only accepts specific ingredients such as Vegetables, Fruits, etc. Producing an invalid product will result in Sludge.

  • Seaside Island welcomes a new Merchant! Assisted by a familiar survivor, he has opened a one-of-a-kind trading post, specializing in rare items and ingredients that are otherwise incredibly difficult to acquire and even some you won't find anywhere else.

  • Make sure to check his wares every now and then to see what he got to offer. As his inventory is always changing, each day, each season, each occasion!

  • Q: What this mod does?
A: This mod adds over 100 new Crock Pot dishes and Ingredients to cook, as well new plants and creatures. Some content of the game has been tweaked to match the new contents of the mod. Already existing mechanics and items may have extra effects and abilities. And new places can be found throughout the seas.

  • Q: Recipes of the Wooden Keg / Preserves Jar don't appear on the Cookbook.
A: These recipes are special and do not appear in the Cookbook. Instead they have their own book called Brewbook. You can find it on the Cooking Filter of the Crafting Menu.

  • Q: The inventory icons are bugged / Inventory icons are displaying wrong images.
A: This is a common issue whenever the mod gets a new update. To solve this, simply restart the game (Not the world). If this issue continues to happen, please contact me.

  • Q: Why was the spices removed from the main Mod?
A: It was causing slow loading times ruining the overall performance. This is because the way spices are added to the game, they basically create a new prefab for each food.

Since the mod has so many new foods it was creating so many prefabs while loading the world, causing it to load slow. The current solution I came up with was making it as a Complementary Mod for people that don't care about that and want to have the Mod Spices regardless. Heap of Foods on its own only has Vanilla Spices.

If you wish to use Mod Spices, please download the Complementary Mod here.

  • Q: Is this mod compatible with Craft Pot Mod?
A: Yes. It is! Craft Pot Mod should be able to tell you every recipe this mod has.

  • Q: Does this mod works with other mods?
A: I can't confirm that, sorry. If you're playing this mod along with other mods and have issues, please consider disabling them first and try again to see what is causing the problem. You can post your problem in the commentary section below.

@flipwix You need to use the 'Cleaver' to open them. You can find it at the Tools crafting filter.

I can no longer seem to open or eat coconuts, which I think are part of this mod...? Unless I'm mistaken!

@pandemy Yes, it should slowly regrow over time. But you can enable the 'Retrofit Trades' option to let you trade some items for mod items with the Pig King.

If the mod is added to a world that has already been generated, will plants from the mod start growing around the world over the course of the year? (Like Asparagus? Not Champignons and Stone Slabs, but maybe the vegetables?)

When using this mod in combination with Dehydrated. The bucket can be used 10 times, but can only be used once. Admin, can you fix this?

OK, thank you, I'll report to them. Are there any methods to temporarily avoid crashes when milking?
Kyno  [author] 19 Aug @ 8:20pm
@一期一会 That is a problem on their end.
一期一会 19 Aug @ 8:13pm
when applying with another mod——Don't Starve: Dehydrated, using steel bucket to milk will cause a crash. And the wooden bucket has some durability issues.
